Race 1

PLAZA ACCORD hails from the visiting Peter Muscutt stable. He found betting support when second on debut over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He returns from a 23-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. The son of Danon Platina should love the step up to 1250m and if not in need of the run, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

KING OF SPIN was disappointing in his last start after a promising debut run. The son of Canford Cliffs has plenty of scope and if finding the form of his first run, he should pose a threat.

TWENTYTWENTYVISION challenged strongly in his last start, but found one too good in the form of Raf’s Rocket. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He jumps from pole position and can feature.

Race 2

SPEED RACER has placed in his last five starts. He challenged strongly last time, but found one too good in the form of Get Impressed. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. With a bit of luck from barrier eight, he may be rewarded for consistency.

PETTEIA produced good form lines before given a 19-week break. The son of Global View is a progressive type and if suited to the left-hand turn, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

LINDBERGH should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was cramped for galloping room at the 300m mark. He finished second in his previous two efforts. From pole position, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 3

QHAWEKAZI is one of the better bets on today’s card. She received a bump leaving the start last time, but the manner in which she ran on at the finish that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of William Longsword will be at home over 1400m and she should take a power of beating.

ELLORIX ran a fair race over 1800m last time. Her penultimate run when second over this C&D was encouraging. She has drawn barrier seven and will be doing her best work at the finish.

TICKING BOMB finished 4 lengths behind the top choice on debut. She would have come on from the run and will enjoy the extra distance on offer. She is carded to race on 14 November 2023 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

Race 4

GIMMETHATPEARL was super-impressive when winning on debut over 1250m on this course. She was settled near the rear of the field, quickened up well under the hands and won going away. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight takes on stronger, but she looks to have class about her and she carries a handy galloping mass of 52.5kgs. She will love the rise to 1400m and from her good draw of three, she can remain unbeaten.

UNCONQUERABLE LADY won a game race in her last start over 1250m on this course. She tries the 1400m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can follow up.

MONTELENA rallied late when fourth over 1250m on this course last time. The daughter of The United States should have no issues with the step up to 1400m. She is in a good space and with just 52.5kgs on her back, she should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 5

SUGAR MOUNTAIN produced a strong finish to win his last start over 1400m on this course. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The son of Silvano should have no issues with the step up to 1800m and with Aldo Domeyer back in the saddle, he can notch up his eighth-career victory.

ROCKPOOL was in need of his seasonal debut over 1400m. He has won once and finished third once from three starts over this distance. He will strip a much fitter horse and on best form shown, he should improve.

PONTE PIETRA raced wide around the turn in his comeback run and is better than the run suggests. He will strip a much fitter horse and should love the rise in distance. With luck in running, he can finish in the money.

Race 6

LOVE IS A ROSE was not disgraced when fifth in the Listed Woolavington Stakes last time. Two of her four career victories have come over this distance. Her last win came under Winning Form-sponsored Jockey Richard Fourie. She is back against her own sex and with luck in running, she can return to winning ways.

SILVERLINKS showed signs of needing her comeback run in the Grade 3 Hollywoodbets Diana Stakes last time. She has won twice and finished third once from as many starts on this course. She will strip much fitter and is one of the leading contenders.

MY FLOWER FATE was outrun late when second over 1600m on this course last time. She tries the 1800m for the first time which should not pose a concern. If getting away to a clean start, she should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 7

CARRIACOU stayed on at the finish over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Montien who has come out and won again since. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. He meets a similar line-up this afternoon and Richard Fourie may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

FUTURE TURN finished 0.8 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

ROSH KEDESH ran on from last when fourth over 1250m on this course last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He merits healthy respect.

Race 8

This is a competitive Class 4 field for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first choice is QUERANDI from the Glen Kotzen stable. She was in need of her seasonal debut over 1400m last time. She is back against her own sex and will strip a much fitter horse. The daughter of Querari should have no issues with the rise to the mile. With a bit of luck in running, she can return to winning ways.

METAR stayed on at the finish over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Red Palace. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

RAINBOW LORIKEET followed up her maiden win with a good third-place finish over 1400m on this course. She should love the rise to 1600m and merits obvious inclusion
