RACE 1

AMAZING COLOURS has finished second in her last six starts. She received a bump at the 100m mark last time which didn’t help her chances. The daughter of Heavenly Blue meets the right field today and she should take a power of beating.

BURN BABY BURN showed some improvement in her local debut over 1200m on this course. Richard Fourie steps into the saddle and over the extra furlong, she should have more to come.

ROYAL VENUS finished 0.05 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line. The daughter of Royal Mo should earn another cheque for her patrons.

RACE 2

GRADUATION TIME should have won his last start as he was held up for a run at the 400m mark. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will love the extra furlong on offer. With a bit of luck in running, he can shed his maiden tag.

US OPEN is better than his last start as he was reported to be coughing. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. He is the stable elect with Muzi Yeni in the saddle and is one of the leading contenders.

PRINCE OF DENMARK finished 0.5 lengths behind BOB LEE SWAGGER last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Richard Fourie may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

RACE 3

WOLFRAM has decent recent form lines to his credit. He stayed on at the finish over 1600m on the turf last time, but found one too good in the form of Big Fella. He has finished second once and third once from three starts over this C&D. This is a weak Maiden field and he can get it right.

LAUNCH CODE was a tad disappointing in his last start over 1300m on this course. His two previous outings were encouraging. He tries the 1900m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should pose a massive threat.

SUNLIT FROM HEAVEN is having her first run for the Sharon Kotzen stable. Her last start over 1800m was fair. If suited to the polytrack, she should give the males a run for their money.

RACE 4

SUMMER ODYSSEY was running on too late when second over 1000m on this course last time. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. She has cracked pole position and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she should return to winning ways.

GOLDEN PACIFIC won a good race in her last start over 1000m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

BONNAROO stayed on when fourth over this distance on the turf last time. She has won twice, finished second twice and third once from as many starts on this course. She shows good speed in her races and may be hard to peg back.

RACE 5

COASTAL PATH raced from a handy position over this C&D last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Toureiro. He has won once, finished second once and third once from five starts over this distance. He has dropped to a competitive rating. The son of Global View has a wide draw to overcome, but he gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

NOTORIX should have finished closer to the winner last time. He finished 0.1 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

SIRNIHAALLONGSWORD won a game race in his last start over 1400m on this course. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. He should have no issues with the drop to 1200m and with luck in running, he can follow up.

Race 6

MY AMI BEACH stayed on at the finish over this C&D last time. The daughter of Marchfield has faced stronger company in her last two outings. Her effort when winning under Robert Khathi, three runs ago catches the eye. Two of her three career victories have come over this distance. She runs well for Robert Khathi and from her mid-field draw, she can notch up her fourth career win.

IQEMBULABESIFAZANE has good recent form lines to her credit. She finished 1.1 lengths behind the top choice, three runs ago. She is 2kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

BACK FOR MORE was a tad disappointing in her last start over 1300m on this course. She finished 5.55 lengths behind the second choice that day. She is only 1.5kgs better off at the weights today which is not enough for the tables to be turned.

RACE 7

AND WE DANCED has top consistent form lines to her credit. She was running on when third behind NARCOS in the Non-Black Type Nelson Mandela Bay Racing Poly Challenge 1400 that day. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today. Six of her eight career victories have come over this distance. She always gives of her best and should give the males a run for their money.

PRINCE OF FIRE finished 0.1 lengths behind NARCOS in the race referred to above. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He is at his best over shorter, but he is in a good space and cannot be ignored.

PORT LOUIS has finished fourth in his last three starts. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. He is versatile and with luck in running, he should be right there at the finish.

RACE 8

GET IT DONE showed good signs of a form return in her last start over this distance on the turf. She raced from a handy position, but found one too good in the form of Unyielding. She jumps from pole position and may be the one to side with in this line-up.

OPERA SWING finished 0.25 lengths behind STATE OF MIND last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The 6yo mare will be mowing down the frontrunners.

STATE OF MIND ran on powerfully to win her last start over 1400m on this course. If this run has not come too soon, she can follow up
