RACE 1

HAWK CIRCLE produced a good local debut run over this distance on the polytrack. He raced from a handy position, but was outrun by Mohandas. The son of Silvano will enjoy the turf and the long run-in. He does have a wide draw to overcome, but gets the services of Muzi Yeni who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

MASTEROFALLSTORMS hails from the visiting Glen Kotzen stable. He showed good improvement in his last start over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. The mile should be right up his alley. He is having his peak run and with luck in running, he should pose a massive threat.

BRIDGERTON stayed on when third over 1300m on the Polytrack last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He is the stable elect with S’manga Khumalo in the saddle and if seeing out the mile, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

RACE 2

CLIMATE CONTROL finished 0.25 lengths behind EUPHORIC in his local debut. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The son of Ideal World would have come on from the run and will love racing on the turf. He is the horse to beat from a handy draw of five.

SAND BANK finished 0.35 lengths behind EUPHORIC in the race referred to above. He is 1kg better off at the weights and should also turn the form around from pole position.

EUPHORIC was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this distance on the Polytrack. He is yet to place from two starts on this course, but is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick.

RACE 3

UNYIELDING was ultra-impressive when winning her last start over 1600m on this course. She took the lead at the 500m mark, quickened up well and won with a ton in hand. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She does take a rise in class, but is ahead of the handicapper and she can win again.

EASY LIVING was given a strong ride to win her last start over this distance on the Polytrack. She received a six-pound penalty for that victory. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Kobeli Lihaba which will help her chances. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

TRIED AND TRUE finished 0.85 lengths behind AERIAL VIEW last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The daughter of Crusade will be doing her best work at the finish.

RACE 4

GLOBAL ALLY was given a peach of a ride when winning his local debut over 1300m on the Polytrack. The manner in which he ran on at the business end that day was eye-catching. He would have come on from the run and will love the long straight. He jumps from a handy draw of two and should follow up.

DAWN OF A NEW ERA finished 0.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.

EYJAFJALLAJOKULL fought hard in his last start, but found one too good in the form of Acorn. He returns to Handicap Company and with a bit of luck in running, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

RACE 5

COASTAL PATH’S last three starts have been good. He finished 0.25 lengths behind TOUREIRO in his penultimate run and is 1.5kgs better off at the weights. That should be enough for the tables to be turned. He is in a good space and can return to winning ways.

TOUREIRO ran on well when winning his last start over this distance on the pPolytrack. Three of his career victories have come over this C&D. The 7-year-old gelding will be mowing down the frontrunners.

FIERY DUKE is better than his last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. His last victory came on this course and if putting his best foot forward, he should go close.

Race 6

COLD TRUTH was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over this distance on the Polytrack. She set her own fractions up front and found more to win by 2 lengths. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of What A Winter is a progressive type and she has plenty of scope. She carries a handy galloping mass of 54kgs and should be up to the task at hand.

SUMMER ODYSSEY has decent consistent form lines to her name. She has won once, finished second twice and third once from six starts on this course. She takes a drop-in class and is one of the leading contenders.

PRINCESS DEB’S finished 1.35 lengths behind POMODORO MAGIC last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

RACE 7

FAIRY KNIGHT raced from a handy position in the Racehorse Owners Association Plate last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Underworld. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has won once and finished second twice from as many starts on this course. He jumps from a good draw of two and can notch up his third career victory.

ZOOMIE has very good form lines to his credit. The manner in which he finished off his last start suggests that he will love the rise to the mile. He will strip a much fitter horse and merits healthy respect.

VISION OF WONDER ran a fair race in his comeback run over 1000m on the Polytrack. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He is much better suited to this surface and if seeing out the mile, he should run a positive race.

RACE 8

GREAT AFFAIR won a game race in his last start over 2200m on the Polytrack. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. He will love the return to the grass and from pole position, he can follow up.

PAINITE finished 0.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

JASPERO raced from a handy position over 1900m on the Polytrack last time and stayed on to finish second. He has finished second three times and third twice from nine starts on this course. He is drawn widest of all, but gets the services of S’manga Khumalo who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle
