RACE 1

WORLD SOPRANO showed massive improvement in his local debut over 1000m on this course. Despite receiving a bump at the start, he raced from just off the pace and stayed on to finish third. The son of One World should enjoy the extra 200m on offer and if confirming his recent improvement, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure. 

AMERICAN PITBULL is better than his last start over 1300m on this course. His penultimate run when second over this C&D, catches the eye. He will be at peak fitness and is one of the leading contenders. 

VELVET VALOUR finished 1.35 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around. 

RACE 2

AMAZING COLOURS met a competitive field in her last start over 1600m on this course. She returns from a 10-week break which may have done her the world of good. She finished second in her only C&D attempt behind Joy And Peace. She carries a handy galloping mass of 54kgs and if fit, she should be involved at the finish. 

CICADIDAE was an easy winner of her last start over 1900m on this course. The daughter of Querari takes a rise in class but she may be ahead of the handicapper and can follow up. 

LADY SILVANO ran a fair race over 1600m on this course last time. Her last victory came under Craig Zackey. She is having her peak run today and must be included in all bets. 

RACE 3

HOME REEF ran a good race when third over 1900m on this course last time. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 2200m. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most. 

HE‘S A GAUL ran on well before getting outrun late by TAKE YOUR TIME last time. Eldin Webber retains the ride and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces. ANGEL OF MY HEART finished 1 length behind FIRE FESTIVAL last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. 

RACE 4

ALL ABOUT LOVE has shown good improvement in his last two starts in the Eastern Cape. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last start has come out and won since. The son of Trippi should love the rise to 1600m and if jumping on terms, he should be the one to beat in this line-up. 

GENTEEL was her own worst enemy over 1400m last time as she over raced in the early stages. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She carries a light mass of 53kgs and is one of the leading contenders. 

JOVIAL was in need of his local debut over 1300m. He tries the tongue-tie for the first time and should love the rise to 1600m. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners. 

Race 5

THREE ROCKS finished 2.75 lengths behind SYMBOL OF LOVE last time. She is 8.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won twice and finished second once from four starts over this C&D. On best form shown, she should take a power of beating. 

ELLORIX finished 0.25 lengths behind SYMBOL OF LOVE in the race referred to above. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If keeping on a straight line, she should be competitive. 

PARIS LASS showed some signs of needing her last start over this C&D. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. On best form shown, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest. 

Race 6

USA‘S HOPE won a good race in his local debut over 1100m on this course. The manner in which he quickened up and won going away was eye-catching. The son of The United States received a seven-pound penalty for that victory. He is in a good space and should be the one to beat. 

WHATEVER NEXT finished 4.25 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. 

NOTORIX produced a typical second run after a rest last time. His penultimate run when second over 1100m on this course was encouraging. He is having his peak run today and cannot be ignored. 

RACE 7

SILVER FALCON is better than his last start in the Non-Black Type Bantry Bay Stakes. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts on this course. The blinkers have been quickly removed. On his best form shown, he can notch up his ninth-career victory. 

EAST COAST is better than his last start over 1800m at Turffontein. He is having his first run for the Alan Greeff stable. The son of The United States has class about him and if suited to the polytrack, he can find a form return. 

MOUNT ANDERSON fought hard for his last victory over 1800m on the turf. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from 12 starts over this distance. Eldin Webber retains the ride and he would not be a shock winner.

RACE 8

ARIVIDICIO was doing his best work late when third over this C&D last time. He finished 1 length behind UNION ROSE that day. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. It must be noted that El Romiachi has come out and won again since. He jumps from a good draw of two and if confirming his recent improvement, he can return to winning ways. 

UNION ROSE has finished second in his last two starts. He set the pace over this C&D last time, before getting caught late by Jack In The Green. From his good draw of four, he is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back. 

JAMES FITZJAMES finished 1.25 lengths behind the second-choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and he should finish closer as a result
