The son of Soft Falling Rain found betting support, which suggests that he had been showing good work back at home. He would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.

GIBRAL DE ROCHE ran an absolute cracker in his last start over ten furlongs on the grass. The manner in which he ran on in the closing stages caught the eye. He should enjoy the extra furlong on offer this afternoon and with Wayne Agrella in the saddle, he should take a power of beating.

THE SILVA FOX produced a decent comeback run when finishing 3rd over 2400m on the turf. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He has placed in his only attempt over this c&d and from his good draw of two, he should be the one they all have to beat.

PERFECT PATHWAY found betting support when winning her maiden in her local debut over six furlongs on this course. She moved up well and kept all challengers at bay. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She does take on stronger this afternoon, but the daughter of Silvano is lightly raced and looks to have plenty of scope. From pole position, she should be the one they all have to beat.

ONTENDERHOOKS was her own worst enemy last time as she lost four lengths at the start. It must be noted that Meryl has come out and won again since. The daughter of Dynasty is the best-weighted runner in this contest and if jumping on terms, may be the one to cause the upset.
