TOKOLOSH is a Gauteng raider from the Paul Matchett stable. He followed up his maiden win with a good second-place finish behind True Charm. He showed pace and stayed on well at the finish. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He is yet to be unplaced over this distance with a win and two second-placed finishes from as many outings. If suited to the sand, he may be the one they all have to beat.

SILVAN SAINT was ultra-impressive when winning his last start over this c&d. He took the lead at the 200m mark and cruised to victory under today's pilot, Mathew Thackeray. He has a good record over this c&d with two wins and a third-placed finish from four starts. From a good draw of two, he should be hard to beat.

SEA OF ROSES could cause the upset in this race. She had excuses at the start last time, but was making steady progress in the latter stages of the race. That race was against much stronger. She was not disgraced when taking on males in her penultimate start, finishing three lengths off Zip Line. She takes on her own sex and takes a big drop in class this afternoon. It is encouraging that Muzi Yeni is back aboard the daughter of Visionaire.
