ZANZIBARIAN ran on strong to win his last race over 200m shorter than todays race, which should indic- ate that he should have no problem with the extra ground. Marcus takes the ride today and he should be right there at the wire.

ORPHEUS led the opposition on a merry dance in his last victory over a slightly shorter trip, but he was not stopping that day and may well be capable of repeating the dosage. Todays field will be a lot more wary of assuming that he will weaken in the closing stages & will surely not let him escape with a big lead coming into the home straight.
