BLACKBALL was in need of his last start over six furlongs on this course. He had top form prior to that outing and has won his only attempt over this distance. He runs well for jockey Warren Kennedy and should be too good for this field. 

Race 6: MASTER OF DESTIN (2)

MASTER OF DESTINY showed good signs of a form return last time. He was reported to be cut into on his right hind leg that day, which makes the run that much more encouraging. He has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this C&D. If switching off early, he should be the one to beat.

LAUREL LANE is the value bet on the card. She produced a typical second run after a rest last time and is better than that effort. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Her penultimate run when finishing third over seven furlongs catches the eye. The daughter of Jay Peg should be at home over today's distance and should be at peak fitness
