TOP BET FOR TODAY

Race 2: PINKERTON (1)
Jockey: R Fourie - Trainer: J Snaith

PINKERTON has produced two solid efforts over this distance since his 20-week rest. He raced from a handy position in his last start, but found one to good in the form of Kilindini. The son of Dynasty has his peak run this afternoon and should be cherry-ripe. From a good draw and with stable jockey Richard Fourie in the saddle, he should be hard to beat

Race 3: LIT (4)
Jockey: M Winnaar - Trainer: G Kotzen

LIT finished runner-up in his last two starts over today's distance. The son of Soft Falling Rain raced from a handy position and challenged all the way to the line last time. He has his peak run this afternoon and should be cherry-ripe. From pole position, he should be hard to beat.

Race 7: FERRARI RED (4)
Jockey: R Fourie - Trainer: J Snaith

FERRARI RED moved up well in her last start, but was pipped by Larentina who has come out and finished fifth in the Cape Fillies Championship since. This daughter of Querari takes a slight drop in class this afternoon and should strip much fitter on her second run after a rest. Richard Fourie steps back aboard the Justin Snaith trained 3yo filly and she could prove tough to beat.

Race 8: MARY MOON (1)
Jockey: M Winnaar - Trainer: G Kotzen

MARY MOON showed very good signs of a form return in her last start when finishing second behind Maningi Indaba. She was running on well at the finish that day and a repeat of that effort would see her in the winners enclosure. She drops back to nine furlongs which is no concern as she finished second over the trip before. The combination of Morne Winnaar and Glen Kotzen are in hot form and must be respected.

VALUE BET FOR TODAY

Race 6: FINDING CAMELOT (5)
Jockey: C Orffer - Trainer: B Crawford

FINDING CAMELOT showed plenty of speed in his comeback run in the Sophomore Sprint, eight weeks ago. He showed signs of needing his first run as a gelding as he weakened in the late stages of the race. He won his maiden over this distance and finished second in his handicap debut. The son of Camelot should strip much fitter for today's contest and he can get back to winning ways.
