SMART WILLIAM showed pace in his last outing over six furlongs but failed to go on with his effort. He found betting support that day after a promising first run over the same trip. He lost two lengths at the start that day but was running on in the closing stages. On that effort, he should be at home over the seven furlongs.

The Maningi Indaba formline of 16 November over this c&d features prominently in this race with over half of today's runners coming out of that contest. FYNBOS did best that day finishing 1.3L in front of POWER GIRL.
