GIMME’S LASSIE ran a good race on debut over 1000m on this course. She lost a length at the start, but finished her race off strongly. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight would have come on from the run and will love the extra furlong on offer. Aldo Domeyer takes the ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

Jockey: L Mxothwa – Trainer: B Crawford
TEATRO had to overcome the widest draw of eleven when finishing second over 1400m on this course. He set the pace, but found one too good in the form of Scalini. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The son of Canford Cliffs tries the mile for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he may be rewarded for consistency.
Race 4: METAR (1)
Jockey: L Mxothwa – Trainer: B Crawford
METAR has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She should have won her last start as she was slow into stride and had to be switched inwards at the 250m mark. The daughter of Soft Falling Rain starts from a midfield draw and if jumping on terms, she should be the horse to beat.
