CHAPTER AND VERSE is the best bet on today's card. He has run three good races to date. He set the pace last time, but found one too good in the form of Lion's Head. The son of Vercingetorix is likely to adopt the same tactics from draw four today and may be hard to peg back in the run down to the wire.

PEARL OF ASIA finished 2.05 lengths behind GOOD RHYTHM in his last start. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. It must be noted that the form of that race has worked out well. He gets the blinkers fitted for the first time and if the headgear has the desired effect, he should be the one to beat.

COYOTE GIRL has been taking on stronger company in her last three starts. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish in her last two efforts is encouraging. She has won three times, finished second five times and third once from 15 starts over this distance. She drops in class today and can get back to winning ways.
