Anton Marcus takes the ride aboard the daughter of Trippi and against Maiden Company, she should be tough to beat.
PELARGONIUM took on winners in her last start over 1200m on this course. She should have won that day as she shifted away from the crop in the latter stages. The daughter of Vercingetorix returns from an 18-week break and if not in need of the run, she should pose a threat.
NAMAQUA DOVE’S last two starts over this C&D have been good. She raced from just off the pace last time but found one too good in the form of Ancient Epic. Muzi Yeni takes the ride this afternoon and the combination merit healthy respect.
Race 2
INDIGO FIELDS ran a good race on debut over 1200m. She raced from just off the pace that day and stayed on nicely to finish third. The daughter of What A Winter would have gained from the experience and should love the extra furlong on offer. She jumps from pole position and can shed her maiden tag.
BAY BREEZE is the stable companion of the top choice. She showed good improvement in her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. With a bit of luck in running, she should fight out the finish.
AND WE DANCED ran a fair race on debut over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The daughter of Pathfork would have come on with the run and should make the natural progression. She does have a wide draw to overcome, but gets the services of Warren Kennedy who will give her the necessary assistance from the saddle.
Race 3
SPARKLING FLAME is one of the better bets on today’s card. She was running on well to finish second in her last start over 1600m on the Polytrack. The daughter of Pomodoro will be at home over today’s distance. Serino Moodley retains the ride and in this type of field, she should be the one to beat.
SYMMETRY has shown some improvement in her last two starts with the blinkers fitted. The manner in which she finished off her last start suggests that she will love the extra distance on offer. She gets the cheek pieces fitted this afternoon and from her good draw of two, she should be one of the leading contenders.
BLACK JOKER showed very good improvement in her stable debut over 1400m on this course. She will enjoy the rise in distance and should strip a much fitter horse. The 5yo mare may have more to come.
Race 4
This is a competitive Merit Rated 65 Handicap and caution is advised. The narrow first selection is BRIGADE from the Paul Gadsby stable. He stayed on nicely to finish fifth over 1900m on the Polytrack last time. His penultimate effort when winning over this C&D was impressive. The son of Crusade is in a good space and should notch up his third career victory.
UPLIFTED was a tad disappointing in his last start over 2400m. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He finished 4.1 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate start. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights and that should be enough to turn the form around. However, BRIGADE won that race a lot easier than the official margin suggests and should still have the upper hand.
ROCK WITH ME’S last three starts have been good. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. He is carded to race on 22 September 2021 and his progress in that race will need to be checked.
Race 5
FAVOUR ran a decent race in his last start over a mile, which is a distance short of his best. His penultimate effort in the Grade 3 Gold Cup can be ignored as the jockey reported something to be amiss and eased him out the race. The son of Mambo In Seattle stays all day and on best form shown, he should take a power of beating.
ELECTRIC SURGE should have won last time as she hung in the latter stages. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D. If keeping on a straight line, she should give the males a run for their money.
FIGHT SONG was a tad disappointing in his last start over 1700m on the Polytrack. His penultimate effort when winning over 1800m catches the eye. The son of Noble Tune tries the 2400m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should run a big race
Race 6
AFTER THE RAIN followed up his maiden win with an equally impressive victory over this C&D. He showed good speed that day and found another kick to draw clear of the opposition. The son of Master Of My Fate looks to have ability and should notch up the hat-trick.
HOOVES OF TROY should have won over this distance on the Polytrack last time as he hung in the latter stages. He has won once, finished second three times and third once from nine attempts over this distance. He is back in Handicap Company this afternoon and if keeping on a straight line, he should pose a threat.
MASHARI was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He has finished second once and third four times from as many starts over this C&D. The 7yo gelding is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
Race 7
MAQUETTE finished 0.6 lengths behind VARVACIOUS last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If jumping on terms, she should return to the winner’s enclosure.
VARVACIOUS was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this C&D. She meets a similar type of field this afternoon and can follow up.
SWEET SYMPHONY was friendless in the betting market when winning on debut over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The daughter of Twice Over takes on much stronger today, but she could be anything and may be up to the task at hand.

WE ALL CHOMIES finished 0.05 lengths behind MOUNT GREYLOCK last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The son of Philanthropist shows plenty of pace in his races and may be hard to peg back.
MOUNT GREYLOCK got up where it matters most to win his last start over this C&D. He meets a similar type of field today and can follow up.
NOBLE SNIPER was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He returns from a well-deserved 10-week break which may have done him the world of good. He takes on stronger this afternoon, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand
