Race 1

IMPOSING was not disgraced when finishing sixth in the Grade 1 Gold Medallion last time. His debut effort when finishing second over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Greyville was eye-catching. He returns to Maiden company and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, he should be the horse to beat.

CAPTAIN CASEY ran a good race when finishing fourth in the Listed Gatecrasher Stakes last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The son of Captain Of All is a progressive type and should be one of the leading contenders.

UNITED PRINCE has produced two decent efforts to date. He took an awkward stride and was unbalanced at the 600m mark last time. The son of The United States should strip a much fitter horse this afternoon and if keeping on a straight line, he should be competitive.

Race 2

RUN AGAIN was running on when second over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on the daughter of Crusade and she can shed her maiden tag.

ALTO ALEX showed good improvement when finishing fifth over 1400m on the Polytrack last time. The daughter of Global View is a progressive type and may have more to come.

ONLY CHOICE is an unraced daughter of Twice Over from the Michael Roberts yard with apprentice Rachel Venniker in the saddle. She is related to multiple winners including Delia’s Delight and Rio Querari. If not too green, she should get her career off to a positive start. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

Race 3

GRAPHENE AEROGEL showed very good improvement when finishing second in her last start over 1600m on the Polytrack. She raced from a handy position and fought hard but found one too good in the form of Amble Inn. The daughter of Jackson will be at home over 1750m. She is carded to race on 20 June 2022 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

DEVILS AND DUST finished 0.05 lengths behind SEA CRUISE last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Muzi Yeni retains the ride and if keeping on a straight line, she should pose a threat to the top choice.

LUROX showed good improvement in her last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The daughter of Master Of My Fate is a progressive type and she should run into the placings.

Race 4

CAPTAIN WHO stayed on nicely at the finish when fourth over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. The son of Captain Al takes a drop in class. His last victory came over this C&D and he should be the one to side with.

FULL BLAST ran a good race when second over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He has won once, finished second once and third once from five starts over this distance. The blinkers seem to have done the trick and he merits healthy respect.

THE TINKERMAN followed up his maiden victory with a good third-place finish over this distance on the Polytrack. The son of William Longsword cost himself winning that day as he shifted away from the crop in the closing stages. He does take a rise in class, but has ability and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 5

DOUBLE MARTINI hails from the visiting Sean Tarry yard. He ran on strongly to win his last start over 1550m on the Polytrack. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He meets a similar type of field this afternoon and can follow up.

TECHNO SAVVY won a good race in his last start over this distance on the Polytrack. He took the lead at the 300m mark and kept finding to keep Runaway Song at bay. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

FINAL DESTINY stayed on when finishing fifth over 1200m last time. He has won twice and finished second once from six starts over this distance. He takes a slight drop in class and from pole position, he should be right there at the finish.

Race 6

CANADIAN BOLT’S last two starts against stronger company have been fair. The 6yo gelding continues to drop in the ratings. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Donald Geerthsen which will help his chances. With a bit of luck from barrier ten, he can return to winning ways.

CAPE EAGLE has fair recent form lines to his credit. He has dropped to a competitive rating and from his good draw of two, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

VALENCIA lacked extra late over 1600m last time. His last victory came over this distance. Richard Fourie takes the ride this afternoon and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

Race 7

LUNARCAM showed good speed in his last start over this C&D, but was outrun late. His penultimate run when winning over 1100m on this course was eye-catching. He will be at peak fitness for this outing and can notch up his third career victory.

FAUSTINO overraced in the Non-Black Type Durban Dash last time and was reported to be fatigued. He has won twice and finished third once from five starts over this C&D. 4kgs claiming apprentice Malesela Katjedi takes the ride and he may be hard to peg back.

PRINCEKRESH is better than his last start on the Polytrack. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He has won four times and finished second once from six starts over this C&D. Richard Fourie takes the ride and he may be able to get the best out of him.

Race 8

ROYAL MONARCH was his own worst enemy over 1800m last time as he overraced in the early stages. He has won once and finished second once from four starts over this distance. The son of Var should strip a much fitter horse today and if Serino Moodley is able to switch him off early, he can return to winning ways.

JUAN CARLOS showed good improvement in his first run for the Lorenzo Karriem stable. He set the pace, but was outrun in the latter stages. He is likely to adopt the same tactics from his wide draw of thirteen and may be hard to peg back.

GIMMIE A STAR is lightly raced with decent form lines to his credit. He returns from a 19-week break which may have done him the world of good. He races well fresh and merits obvious inclusion.

Race 9

DAWNOFANEWDAY fought hard in her last start, but found one too good in the form of Top Me Up Holly. She received a four-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Futura will enjoy the return to the turf and she can go one better.

AERIAL VIEW took on much stronger in the Grade 1 Woolavington 2000 last time. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. The daughter of Soft Falling Rain returns to Handicap company and she must be included in all bets.

ROTUNDA ran on strongly over 1800m last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Snow Palace. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand.

Race 10

TEICHMAN raced from a handy position last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Atomic Blonde who has come out and won again since. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. From his handy draw of six, he should go one better.

MASTER TOBE raced wide around the turn last time, but stayed on nicely to finish fourth. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

MASTER VISION showed good signs of a form return over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. He takes a drop in class and should strip much fitter. 1.5kgs claiming apprentice Cole Dicken retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect
