The Snaith charge SABBATICAL ran way above his rating when he was narrowly defeated in a c & d feature last month. The 3rd placed entrant Paper Town finished a good 2nd to the stable's promising sort, Sir Frenchie in another c & d feature a week ago and that boosts the formline. This Silvano gelding is extremely well treated on these handicap terms. That said, he takes on some hard-knocking handicappers in the form of joint top weight FREE AGENT and BOLLEMAKIESIE.

The Snaith/Van Niekerk partnership should again be favourite to capture the province's topliner after last Friday's success and here the filly MERYSAGOS is seeking back-to-back c & d feature wins. The daughter of Captain Al produced a smart turn of foot for that triumph earlier this year where she had subsequent winners Star Burst Galaxy and CLOUD ATLAS comfortably behind her. She will relish the likely solid tempo.

The Data Link formline could be worth following in this ten furlong maiden contest but a form reversal may be on the cards. The chestnut colt PONDICHERRI looked good for a long time before weakening late in that recent clash and hardly surprisingly, his conditioner drops him in distance today. The three year old is drawn best of all and can heavily reduce the deficit with the runner-up BIG JAY'S and 3rd placed finisher SACRED TOUCH.
