Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: GRAND RAPID(1)
Jockey: Collen STOREY - Trainer: Cliffie MILLER

The Botha stable enjoyed success in the province's last juvenile event a week ago and RIVETING is a daughter of Mogok who flies the stable's flag. The remaining four local entrants all represent the League Of Her Own formline and GRAND RAPID finished strongly for a close 2nd that day. She should have the measure of her raced rivals once again but of course, the youngsters are renowned for making rapid progress from their first starts. All that said, visiting trainer Botha will have a good line to work with as his filly League Of Her Own beat the quartet of raced entrants seven days ago.

Race 2: DYLAN'S WORLD(3)
Jockey: Nathan KLINK - Trainer: Bill HUMAN

DYLAN'S WORLD is the obvious form choice in this really ordinary maiden contest where the bay gelding should start a warm favourite though his 23 attempts in the maiden ranks doesn't inspire much confidence.

Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Bill HUMAN

MOSTABSHIR produced the run of his career when he stayed on well for a close 2nd over a mile on this track last month and the 3rd placed entrant Miesque's Speed lifted that formline with a subsequent triumph seven days ago. This bay gelding finished comfortably ahead of GREAT SUCCESS and SAVANNA HAWK that day and he should take all the beating despite poor statistics over this distance.

Race 7: ROYAL STAG(11)
Jockey: Kabelo MATSUNYANE - Trainer: Jannie BORMAN

The three-year-old chestnut ROYAL STAG is clearly more effective over this shorter trip and he should be highly competitive from his favourable draw at this level.

Race 3: TINA BRAVADA(7)
Jockey: Dylan R LERENA - Trainer: S VON WILLINGH

TINA BRAVADA should have finished closer to the in-form but badly drawn JUST ROYAL BLUE over a mile recently and can exact revenge over this slightly shorter trip today. Of course, she has a good draw and her in-form regular rider up
