Race 2: DOUBLED OVER(6)
Jockey: G V.Niekerk  - Trainer: J Snaith

DOUBLED OVER is back facing her own age group after a promising career best outing over this c & d recently. The daughter of Twice Over was outrun late into a close 2nd whilst she had the older rival Ikebana exactly 2.50 lengths further back in 3rd and she should be highly competitive today.

Race 3: IKEBANA(2)
Jockey: G Cheyne- Trainer: B Crawford

It could pay to follow the progress of Doubled Over in the prior event as the first selection here IKEBANA stayed on to finish 2.50 lengths adrift of the juvenile in her career best effort three weeks ago. The lightly raced three-year old was returning from more than a year's absence so she will strip fitter and she faces a moderate line-up.

Race 7: DALIBHUNGA(5)
Jockey: B Fayd'Herbe - Trainer: W Nel

The speedy grey gelding DALIBHUNGA was an impressive recent c & d winner over lesser rivals but does appear to have escaped with only a three pound hike and he can raise his game in today's higher company.

Race 8: DREAM DANCER(5)
Jockey:  C Orffer   - Trainer: B Crawford

The fast improving and well-related three-year old filly DREAM DANCER had a high quality handicap debut run over six furlongs late last month. The daughter of Querari ran on strongly for a close 2nd that day and she still seems ahead of the handicapper despite the resultant three pound penalty. Her pedigree indicates that she will love the extra ground and of course she has experience around the bend, having debuted at Durbanville. She finished ahead of Secretariat's Girl (runs in race 6) last time and it should pay to follow the latter's progress.

Race 4: RED PERIL(2)
Jockey: D Dillon   - Trainer: W Prestage

The natural frontrunner RED PERIL is ideally c & d suited and he will be fitter after no doubt needing his comeback run from a 20 week absence recently. He finished just over one length adrift of FRIENDLY TIBBS that day but will appreciate this test of stamina and could have a soft lead. The veteran is the yard's solitary runner on the day.
