The latter is a long-time maiden but he is drawn well alongside the top rating and is an obvious contender.

The hat-trick seeking TIRZAN meets a few of today's rivals on unfavourable terms after back-to-back penalties following his two smashing recent victories over this distance but the son of Seventh Rock could again defy the odds. He should handle the steep rise in class.

There are many really quick sorts in this competitive handicap which sees the return to action of the smart Irish import, BUFFALO BILL CODY from the powerful Mike de Kock stable. This three-year old son of Redoute's Choice only just lasted to landed the betting coup on debut over slightly further in spring but he had the quality sorts Lobo's Legend and Premier Show behind him. He would have come on appreciably from that experience and is certainly one worth following with keen interest.

CHEAT THE CHEATERS has fared well in recent efforts and probably should have finished closer but for being cramped in the latter stages of his last run which was against far stronger rivals. He has three parts of a length to find with the veteran campaigner DETONATION on that performance but the pair meet on similar weight terms and should fight out an exciting finish. There wasn't much between them in their prior clash over this trip.
