Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: BELLA ROSA (7)
Jockey: A Marcus - Trainer: S Pettigrew

BELLA ROSA needed her comeback run over a mile in soft conditions on the standside course on Charity Mile day. She was running on well at the finish on that occasion and will enjoy going over the extra furlong today. The daughter of Count Dubois is having her second run after a rest and should strip much fitter. From a good draw of four, she should be the one that they all have to beat.

Race 2: SEVEN PATRIOTS (13)
Jockey: D Schwarz  - Trainer: M/A Azzie

SEVEN PATRIOTS has produced two good runs to date. He raced from a handy position last time, but found one too good on the day. The son of Soft Falling Rain is improving with each run and from a good draw of five, in this type of field, he can shed his maiden tag.

TOP BET FOR TODAY

Race 4: EVENING BELL (4)
Jockey: G Lerena - Trainer: G Woodruff

EVENING BELL produced an encouraging comeback run over this c&d, two weeks ago. She would have come on from that run and should strip much fitter in her second run after a rest. Gavin Lerena was aboard this daughter of Horse Chestnut when she won her maiden and he will know how to get the best out of her.

Race 7: TRUE CHARM (4)
Jockey: C Zackey - Trainer: C Spies

TRUE CHARM was an impressive winner of her last start against the males, three weeks ago. The daughter of Captain Al showed plenty of speed that day and kept going well to win by 3.25 lengths. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She takes a step back up in trip and may be hard to peg back in the closing stages. She is carded to race at the Vaal on 09 November and her progress in that race will need to be checked.

VALUE BET

Race 8: KINGS ARCHER (1)
Jockey: C Dicken - Trainer: S Pettigrew

There is likely to be a lot of pace in this race and that could work in the favour of KINGS ARCHER. The 8yo horse has struck up a good relationship with 4kgs claiming apprentice, Cole Dicken. He lost a length at the jump in his last start, but produced an impressively strong finish to get the better of Sea Air. From his midfield draw of five, he should be mowing down the frontrunners late on in the race.
