Both would have learnt from the experience and with natural improvement to be expected, they should be right up there in the dash to the wire. The former does have a worse draw than the latter.

SLEEPINSEATTLE is unbeaten in two starts over the c&d and with red-hot Warren Kennedy in the irons the 8yr old gelding will be looking to keep that record intact. He doesn't have the best of draws, but this is not the biggest of fields.

CULTURE TRIP is the only runner on the day from SA Champion trainer Sean Tarry's yard. He clearly has some ability having won two of his four starts to date. He will also have the advantage of having 1.5kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. He won over six furlongs on debut and looks to be the one that they all have to beat.

MAGIC'S FIRST returns from a 18 week rest, but the engaging of her regular jockey, Muzi Yeni could suggest that the stable are expecting a big run from her. She likes to set the pace in her races and if fit, she may be difficult to peg back in the closing stages.
