WYLIE WENCH attracted betting support on debut over six furlongs at this venue which suggests that she had being showing good work at home. She moved up well, but was just run out of it late. She drops down to five furlongs today, but she would have come on with that run under her belt and should be a big runner here with Gavin Lerena in the irons.

Jockey: L Ferrais - Trainer: S Tarry 

VICTORIA PAIGE won her first two starts over this distance on the Highveld. She then travelled down to KZN to contest two feature races at Hollywoodbets Greyville, where she was not disgraced in either of them. She returns from a 19-week break, but the current SA champion trainer knows how to prepare them to win on their return to the race track

Race 7: AT HAND (5)

Jockey: S Khumalo - Trainer: B Botes 

AT HAND has solid recent form to his credit. He handed MASTER AND MAN a 1.25L beating with visiting jockey Hayley Turner in the irons in his penultimate run over nine furlongs and although 2kgs worse off at today's weights, the manner of that victory was impressive and the latter may have to settle for a similar result. The latter is the only runner on the day from the Gary Alexander yard. 

Race 8: CAIRON (11)

Jockey: G Lerena -  Trainer: M Azzie

CAIRON has only had the two runs and has finished second on both occasions. He tries the nine furlongs for the first time, but Gavin Lerena has committed to the ride again and he could be the one that they all have to beat. His handy draw is a plus.

Jockey: P Strydom- Trainer: St John D Gray 

MIDNIGHT TOP moved up dangerously last time out over six furlongs, but was just denied victory by a short-head. She steps up to seven furlongs which she is sure to appreciate after that last effort. Piere Strydom sticks with the ride and will be out to go one better today.
