wits150Bidvest Wits have made a stuttering start to their defence of the Absa Premiership title as they prepare to host Golden Arrows on Wednesday night

Although Wits did knock Arrows out of the MTN8 quarter finals that victory came via a penalty shoot out after a 2-2 draw in a stormy game and technically they are still searching for a first win of the season. The MTN8 semi finals saw the Clever Boys lose home and away to Cape Town City to bow out 3-1 on aggregate and their start to the Absa Premiership season has seen them earn just 1 point from 2 matches. A 1-0 home defeat in another clash with Cape Town City was followed by a 2-2 draw away to Free State Stars and Wits missed a trick in that game having led 1-0 and 2-1 before conceding late on.

Golden Arrows:

Meanwhile Arrows have drawn both their league matches so far by a 1-1 scoreline, away at Ajax Cape Town and at home to Bloem Celtic. They will take plenty of heart from their performance against Wits in the MTN8 but they have been without a game since 23rd August.

The Verdict:

Wits have been missing chances by the bucket load but when they click they could really make someone suffer. Whether it is worth taking the odds on is to question so I will speculate in the exotics for a smaller stake at a bigger price and go home win with 3 goals or more in total in the game.

Bet: Matchbet and total match goals, home win and over 2.5 at 12/10
