Other matches this Saturday

The other afternoon kick off on Saturday sees Golden Arrows host poor travellers Baroka but the visitors are boosted by an excellent cup win over Sundowns last week. This isn’t game that I plan to get involved in, especially as it clashed with Downs v Pirates.

Kaizer Chiefs were 1-0 winners at home to Leopards in midweek and they take on Chippa. Chiefs are up to fourth but all of 5 points behind Pirates in the standings whilst Chippa have lost their last 2 league outings and remain in the lower reaches of the standings. Chiefs were far from convincing in midweek despite taking 3 points and I’m battling to find anything that stands out but perhaps Chiefs to edge it by a 1 goal margin at around 24/10 could be the way to go.

Bidvest Wits and Bloem Celtic are both in the top 5 and the Clever Boys are currently 5/4 favourites to win this one. Wits have conceded just 4 goals in 10 league games and Celtic have shipped 5 in their 9 matches so both halves under 1.5 goals? (yes) has some logic behind it at a price of 17/20.

Finally Free State Stars host Supersport in a tricky looking game to call. Supersport have drawn their last 3 league games and another draw looks more than possible here.

Saturday Summary:

Sundowns v Pirates, Both teams to score? (yes) at 21/20

Chiefs v Chippa, home win by single goal margin at 24/10

Wits v Bloem Cletic Both halves under 1.5 goals? (yes) at 17/20

Free State v Supersport Match result draw at 18/10
