Amazulu v Mamelodi Sundowns

Match Result Betting

Amazulu 11/4 Draw 2/1 Sundowns 12/10

Amazulu have taken 6 points from 4 league outings so far and all of those points are down to their home form. The KZN side have beaten Baroka (1-0) and Free State Stars (2-1) on home turf but they have failed to add to that tally on the road.

Sundowns have played just 3 league games so far and they return to action with 5 points against their name and just below their opponents here in the standings. Their only league win this season did come away from home, 2-0 at Polokwane whilst home fixtures against Chiefs and Highlands ended all square.

Downs won this fixture 3-1 last season but Amazulu upset them early in the campaign with a 2-1 victory in Tshwane.

Downs have been struggling to find the net and this is no easy task but I take them to edge it 1-0.

Bet: Correct score, Downs win 1-0 at 11/2

Black Leopards v Bloem Celtic

Match Result Betting

Leopards 2/1 Draw 2/1 Bloem Celtic 16/10

Black Leopards went into the international break in mid table, winning 1, drawing 2 and losing 1 of their first 4 matches since earning promotion last season. Their only win came on the opening weekend, 1-0 at home to Polokwane and they followed up with draws at Highlands and Chippa (both 2-2) and a 2-1 home defeat to Pirates.

Celtic are defying the doubters and flying high with a record of 3 wins and 1 draw. They won their first 3 outings of the season and then came from 2-0 down away to Chiefs to salvage a 2-2 draw. Celtic went into the international break in second spot, 1 point behind Wits who are in action earlier in the weekend.

Leopards have done pretty well so far and although Celtic have been in great shape I’m battling to name a winner. In view of that, the draw gets my vote.

Bet: Match result draw at 2/1

Highlands Park v Golden Arrows

Match Result Betting

Highlands Park 15/10, Draw 2/1, Golden Arrows 43/20

Is the glass half full or half empty at Highlands? They have drawn all 4 of their matches including useful points from tough trips to Pirates and Sundowns and they also earned a point from a trip to Baroka. This is only their second home game since earning promotion and they let a 2-0 lead slip late on against Leopards (2-2) in the first outing on home turf.

Arrows are a point better off than Highlands. They did win their first match, 2-0 away to Maritzburg and also picked up a useful point in a dour 0-0 draw at Cape Town City. A home defeat to Celtic and a 1-1 draw with Polokwane most recently will be seen as a disappointing return but their better form has been shown on their travels.

Another tough call but with Highlands being the early season draw specialists it could pay to follow another share of the spoils.

Bet: Match result draw at 2/1
