We have three matches to look forwad to in the DSTV Premiership on Wednesday when Kaizer Chiefs, Supersport United and Orlando Pirates are all in action
Amazulu 2/1 Draw 2/1 Kaizer Chiefs 14/10
Amazulu are in mid table with 10 points from 9 matches, scoring 12 goals and conceding the same number. Home form is solid enough with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat which came in a local derby against Arrows.
Chiefs may have progressed in CAF competition but their DSTV Premiership form remains woeful and at the weekend they lost 2-0 to Maritzburg. Chiefs only league win this season came at Chippa in only their second outing of the league season, they have drawn 4 and lost 4 of their other league fixtures and come into the game with only 2 sides below them in the standings.
Chiefs have to turn the corner at some stage but Amazulu are no pushovers in KZN and a share of the spoils gets our vote.
Bet: Match result draw at 2/1
Supersport United 11/20 Draw 5/2 Bloem Celtic 11/2
Supersport are in third place in the standings, 3 points behind Swallows and 5 shy of Sundowns and this is their game in hand on the top 2. With 4 wins and 1 draw in their last 5 league games they are in terrific shape right now and they have found the net at least twice in each of their last 5 games.
Celtic have 9 points from 9 matches and it is their away form which is holding them back. From 4 road trips Celtic have earned just 1 point, a 1-1 draw at Kaizer Chiefs and they have conceded 8 goals on their travels.
Celtic's injury problems have reportedly eased but their away record is still a huge concern. Supersport can go second with a win and whilst I wouldn't consider them banker material their red hot form makes them worthy favourites and I will nibble at them to score 2 goals exactly
Bet: Supersport total match goals 2 at 23/10
Tshakhuma 5/2 Draw 21/10 Orlando Pirates 11/10
Tshakhuma are the draw specialists in the DSTV Premiership. They have finished all square in 6 of 9 outings, winning just the 1 and losing 2. They came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at home to Cape Town City last time out and their only 3 point haul came at home to Baroka.
Pirates were angered by the match officials when they played out a 1-1 draw with Swallows on Sunday, a game where they were denied a blatant penalty and they conceded at the death. Prior to that they suffered their only league defeat of the season when they went down 1-0 away to league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns to slip out of the top 4. The Bucs come into the game 10 points off the top of the log but with 1 game in hand.
This season's MTN8 winners now have a league a record of 3 wins, 5 draws and 1 defeat. The number of draws is a concern but Pirates might just edge this one.
Bet: Pirates to win at 11/10
