In this weekly golf feature Brent Graham looks to Sportingbet’s unique golf place markets to try and beat the bookie. This week he looks at the US Open taking place at Pebble Beach.
Nothing gets my blood flowing like a Major golf tournament (ok yes the Tour de France) and I am once again looking to find a couple of golfers to run into the top 20 – this time at the US Open taking place at Pebble Beach. We got this feature off to a shaky start last week with Piercy missing the cut but I am hoping to bounce back in style.
BET: 3 Units Brandt Snedeker Top 20 at 2/1 at Sportingbet (ties paid in full).
Snedeker is in good form and is coming off 3 top 20’s in succession including a top 5 in Canada last week. He has an excellent record at Pebble Beach with 6 of his last 8 starts delivering top 20 finishes and he was top 10 in the US Open in 2017.
BET: 3 Units Dustin Johnson Top 10 at 1/1 at Sportingbet (ties paid in full).
Johnson finished 3rd in last season’s US Open and he won the event in 2016. He was a bit disappointing last week in Canada finishing 20th but he loves this course and I fancy him to go close.

Why Sportingbet ?
One of the things I have always enjoyed about Sportingbet is the fact that they pay out ties in their Top 5, Top 10 and in the case of the majors, Top 20 golf betting markets. There have been many times over the years when I have backed a player to finish in the Top 10 and he has ended tie 8th with 6 other players and by the time dead heat rules have been applied it is not uncommon that you actually lose money on the bet. Sportingbet pays out to include ties so in the scenario above I would be paid out in full.
