Weather Forecast - Bloemfontein

Cheetahs:

The Cheetahs are back in Bloem for the first time since Round 2. Their tournament began with back to back home wins, 53-31 over the Pumas and 19-17 against the Bulls but there has been little to shout about since then.

A Round 3 clash with the Lions was postponed due to an outbreak of Covid in the Lions ranks and the game was declared a draw, Thereafter they went down 19-13 away to the Sharks, a game they led heading into the final 10 minutes and last weekend they crashed 30-13 away to the Stormers.

The Cheetahs come into the final round 5 points behind the Stormers and the Sharks and 7 shy of the Bulls and they will be looking to make up ground before we head into the Currie Cup, a title they won in 2019.

A week before Griquas went down 39-6 at home to the Stormers and in earlier results they were beaten 61-31 away to the Lions, 27-21 at home to the Pumas and 30-23 away to the Bulls.

Betting Angle

This is a game where I will be looking at the points markets when they come out and will post any bets in the Goodforthegame Forum thread

Griquas were impressive last week against the Sharks and I was impressed with De Beer at 10, he certainly has an educated boot and can keep a team on the front foot.I expect the Cheetahs to get on top up front though and think they will prove too strong for the Griquas and will win this going away. The -18.5 handicap would have arrived in 3 of the last 4 Currie Cup matches in Bloem between the sides and in the last 3 Cheetahs victories as one of those 4 matches was a rare Griquas victory away at their neighbours.

Bet: 5 units Cheetahs -18.5 at Playabets or Betway
