superugby2018As we head towards Super Rugby 2020 we take in the latest betting in the outright markets, to win the tournament and each of the conferences.

 

 

 

The first round of fixtures in Super Rugby 2020 gets underway on Friday 31st January. The Blues face the Chiefs in the opening game and the first South African interest sees the Sharks clash with the Bulls. A day later the Crusaders will begin their defence of the title at home to the Waratahs, the Stormers host the Hurricanes and the Lions visit Jaguares.

The Brumbies fared the best of the Australian sides in 2019 with a round robin record of 10 wins and 6 defeats. They were the only Australian side to make the play offs where they beat the Sharks in Canberra before bowing out away to Jaguares in Buenos Aires. The Rebels ran out of steam after a very promising start to finish second with a record of 7 wins and 9 defeats. The Waratahs and Reds were third and fourth with 6 wins and 10 defeats with the Sunwolves cut adrift after winning just 2 matches.

The Crusaders finished 5 points clear of the Hurricanes in the NZ Conference last season, the Chiefs and the Highlanders aqueezed into the play offs with wins on the final round of the regular season and the Blues missed out completely. The Saders won 11, drew 3 and lost 2 matches on their way to a third successive title, knocking out the Highlanders in the quarters, the Hurricanes in the semis and getting the better of Jaguares in the final. The Chiefs fell at the first knockout hurdle away to Jaguares.

In 2019 Jaguares topped the SA Conference with 51 points and a record of 11 wins and 5 defeats, reaching the play offs for the first time and going all the way to the final. Jaguares finished 10 points clear of the Bulls and 14 better off than the Sharks who also reached the play offs where they lost quarter final match ups away to the Canes and the Brumbies respectively. The Lions and Stormers missed out although the conference was tight with just 6 log points covering second to fifth.
