Waratahs:

The Waratahs had to come from behind to earn themselves a 26-20 victory over Moana Pasifika in Auckland last week. They were 17 points in arrears at one stage but were back in contention by half time and after hitting the front they held on at the death.

The Waratahs hosted the Crusaders at this venue in Round 11, they were given around 22.5 points start on the handicap but they won the game 24-21. The Tahs first match up with a New Zealand side came against the Chiefs in Super Round in Melbourne. They were given around 16.5 points start on the handicap and it wasn't enough as they went down 51-27.

The Waratahs now have a record of 7 wins and 4 defeats and with 32 log points they finished the previous round in fifth position in the overall standings, second best of the Australian sides. In the outright betting they are 33/1 to win the tournament

Hurricanes:

The Hurricanes put Fijian Drua away 67-5 in Wellington last week. Earlier results against Australian opposition delivered mixed results with a 30-17 win over the Reds in the Super Round in Melbourne followed by a 42-25 loss to the Brumbies in Canberra.

The Canes have 6 wins and 5 defeats against their name and they have 29 log points, seventh overall. In the outright betting they are 11/1 to win the tournament.

Betting Angle

This game is very much where I handicapped it, but looking at the teams I am leaning towards the Hurricanes and will back them to win by 7 points or more.
