WESTERN PROVINCE V PUMAS

I handicaped this game WP -4.5 and when it opened +3.5 I was quick to get involved and took the 15/10 they win the match. As expected they have strengthened their team with some URC players and Libbok who was released from the Bok camp and they are now -5.5
Interestingly with the Cheetahs losing and with the Pumas playing them next week in the final round they don’t have to win this one quite as badly as that looks likely to be a winner take all clash although the Pumas could take a 4 point lead with a bonus point win and that would be handy.
I am going to wait for more markets and points lines before getting further involved.

The handicap has settled at WP -5.5 and the points lines are out and range from 57.5 to 59.5 at the time of posting.
The game is being played in Stellenbosch and the weather looks like it will be good.
With an afternoon kickoff I simply have to keep faith in the overs and my only decision is whether to go with total overs or WP overs at 31.5.
I am going with the latter mainly because of my WP outright bet and the fact that this way I can shout for just the one team.

I handicapped this game Sharks -32.5 and after opening at -33.5 it currently sits at -46.5 after the Sharks included some of their URC players.
I am going to wait for points lines before getting involved.

We have points lines at last.
On the one hand I like the Sharks on the handicap but then I also think the Griffons points line looks low at 12.5.
In what looks likely to be excellent condititions I am going to take the overs at an intimidating 70.5

BULLS V LIONS

There has been plenty of betting movement in this game.
The Bulls opened -3.5 but they are now underdogs at +2.5 after the Lions stacked their team with URC players.
The Bulls are still putting out a strong side and I assume the URC players have been on a different playing schedule and are being included to give them some game time. In other words they could be rusty so tread carefully here is my advice.
I am going to sit on this one for a while and will wait for points lines (note the game is being played in Midrand) before making a bet.

The Bulls continue to drift and we have a points line of 62.5
Conditions will be excellent but I am not sure about the Midstream field and will just have a nibble on the Bulls to win.

GRIQUAS V CHEETAHS

The Cheetahs are currently 4th on the log and battling with the Pumas in 5th for the final semi-final spot.
They are level on points with the Cheetahs ahead on points difference and so a 4 try bonus point win is a must.
The Cheetahs haven’t convinced in recent weeks though and while they are rightfully favourites I cannot back them at -9.5 against a Griquas side capable of beating most sides at home.
I am looking to the total points line for my interest.
There is currently 62.5 on offer and although overs would have just missed in the last 2 head to heads all 3 Griquas home games have had 63 points or more in them.
