Firstly North Harbour have to Win this one if they want to be in the playoffs - hmmm that is a question all of itself and i think they will make up their minds after 30 mins in the ring with the Red & Blacks...... they will have one hand on a beach towel or a cricket bat.

On the other hand Canterbury also need to win to avoid playing Tasman in the semifinal. More importantly it is about seventy years since Canterbury lost their first defence of the Ranfurly Shield. Not going to happen today.

Looking at the respective coaches, Canterbury's Joe Maddock is on the way out the door and will not be missed. Harbour's Kearin Kane should have retired when he got booted from Connacht last year, game has changed, and he is no longer up to speed. No longer considered a top flight Kiwi Coach. Not to be confused with Kearin Crowley who will probably get the gig with Italy in the near future.
