Canberra have won the last two against Melbourne including a 12-10 win in finals last year. Both those wins came in Melbourne. Six of the last nine meetings have failed to surpass 34 points. A team has passed 22 points in just two of the last nine.

Melbourne are undefeated through two rounds with an 18-4 road win over the Sea Eagles before a 12-10 victory over Cronulla. Canberra also opened the season with wins, a 24-6 win over Gold Coast and a 20-6 win over the Warriors. Both teams rank in the TOP THREE DEFENSIVE teams in the NRL.

In response to your question I jumped on the Sea Eagles - 9.5 @ $1.90. Could not resist betting on the Eagles before they finished their Round 4 game! That line has since moved out to - 12.5. I am thinking the line should be more like - 18.5. I do not see enough changes in the Bronco Team to have any chance of turning around the 59-0 loss in a week. If Ben Teo helps keep the loss under 20 the former B&I Lion will think he has done a good job. Big problem in the Bronco halves appears unchanged. Add to that Eagles are in flight. How high do you see the Eagle winning margin CC? Cheers 3P

Late mail: Manly has lost Jorge Taufua and Curtis Sironen (knee) have been ruled out for Manly in a double blow. Brendan Elliot is expected to slot in on the wing, with Corey Wadell to move into the starting pack and Jack Gosiewski to join the bench. Cheers 3P

Tough one 3P. If Broncos have mentally lost it then it could get really ugly so I might have a little nibble on a bigger blowout type of result. On paper Brisbane should be improved with Staggs back but as you say the halves are shot for confidence and I feel the pack is missing the heavy hitters like Pangai and Fafita.

Think there are better games to make money on for the weekend though so not getting too carried away with big plays on Manly.
