Ok lads time to get back on the horse for me after a terrible weekend on the spreads. on the fixed odds front I actually called 4/5 caps but my big bet was France and so lost their as well.

Without further ado here are my handicap projections:

Italy +13.5 v Boks
Scotland +12.5 v Australia
Wales +15.5 v New Zealand
Ireland -14.5 v Argentina

The Pro 14 also returns and will possibly have a look at those handicaps tomorrow.

Thanks for the caps. I would certainly be interested in Scotland if the cap comes out approaching two scores.

I don't think that the Irish is 2 converted tries better than the Argies. I will make up my mind once I've seen the team news, but I'm certainly leaning towards Argentina +14.5.

I'd be all over Scotland +7 and Italy +15 next week. Always beware of the last game for a Southern Hemisphere team in the Autumn International Series. They're often exhausted and just dreaming about the off season. Here are my handicap expectations for the Pro 14(could be some badly priced up games here considering the focus is on the November internationals)

Cheetahs -17 v Edinburgh
Ulster -24 v Treviso
Cardiff -5 v Connacht
Leinster -19 v Dragons
Ospreys -1 v Glasgow
Zebre +13 v Munster
Kings + 16 v Scarlets

Look forward to seeing them later today.

I see 3 of my caps within a point or 2 but a big difference on Scotland game where I went 12.5 and books go 6.5. I am a little concerned that it is Australia 3rd big game in a row and will mull over whether or not to back them for a while

France v Japan also priced up now with a -21.5 cap. I'd consider it a fluke if France cover this, but no bet just yet.

Dusted off from the weekend. Geez that was brutal!

BetX opened with Argies +17.5 - Im on that one

Then see the Aussie cap down to -4.5 ... the Wallabies cant be trusted after a massive end of year, mentally think they are done after England had the whole rub of the green in last match. Last game of long tour after a beating - sure they thinking about the warm Aussie summer break

I too got beaten up badly on the weekend, largely off the back of England thrashing the shackle draggers - who in my opinion were undone a wee bit by the conditions.

I've taken some Aus -4.5 (perhaps against my better judgement and the comments above re the end of a long season) but I can't see Scotland being able to play at the same intensity again.

Plus the forecast is good (cold of course, but dry) for Edinburgh.

The more I look at this weekend's fixture's the more I like the plusses . Def in The Italy plus , SA didn't convince me at all , two horrible sides in that last fixture Sat night . I'll be lumping on the Eyeties.
Therefore will also be lumping on the Japs. A much better performance against Tonga after some poor earlier results. It is a match that could go horribly wrong should the French swing the ball around and a few things come off so will only be a medium bet.

Ireland should get back to best but feel the Argies will be good enough to stay within the cap.

Scotland is intriguing , I do feel they have turned the tide in recent years and as a result I think they will go very close to winning . I wouldn't rule out a last decent effort by the Ausies though and they might well want to ensure a win in their final match of the year ...the jury is out on this one for me.

England should beat Samoa with ease as the handicap reflects. Weather and if Samoa can score points are important points here for me. I would probably lean towards Eng on the minus in this one.

A quick mention that England Women take on Canada Women at The Stoop this evening (kick-off 7.45). It's the second of a 3-match series. In the first game the Canadians were smashed 79-5.

Ladbrokes and Spreadex have their handicap at -45 and -46, whereas Bet 365, Stan James, skybet are only -35. I'm just playing England -35 at 10/11, although there's plenty of opportunity for "free" bets or "double bubble" if anyone wants to play both the minus and the highest plus.

Targeting one match in the Aviva this weekend

Bath vs Quins

Watched Quins v Exeter the weekend, was 17-13 to Quins HT, 30-17 to Chiefs FT. Chiefs were disjointed first half then the Quins poor fitness levels showed late on and Exeter waltzed to victory.
Bath beat London Irish away by 4 points.

Bath have won their last 3 matches of the Test Window and Jonathan Joseph, Tom Dunn, Anthony Watson and Zach Mercer have all been released from England duty and are available for selection. Dont think Watson will play but the other 3 are quality additions.
Quins have 5 players on Eng duty, Bath only have 3

Bath -8 TNB at BetX is my call

Argentina +17.5 a gift IMO. Will take a small double into Australia -4.5, I think they will bounce back this weekend. If it wasn't for last weekend's results, the handicap would've been -12.5.

Glasgow are giving debuts to 5 players in their away match vs Ospreys on Sunday in the Pro 14.

As they're unbeaten, I think Glasgow can afford to drop a couple of games, at the same time I think Ospreys will really be targeting this one.

Have taken some Ospreys -1 @ 1.91 at Skybet, which may not be about for long.

Edinburgh on the plus versus Cheetahs.

I like the look of this Edinburgh side, playing a settled halfback pairing in Tovey and Hidalgo Clyne with some danger men on the outside in Fife and van der Merwe. They also head into this fixture on the back of some decent wins, albeit against poor sides.

van der Merwe i recall played with Gelant for Outeniqua a couple of seasons ago and was a real revelation, equally as impressive in offense, but unfortunately never made the anticipated step up to senior level. Expect him to be a real handful tonight.

Edingburgh not enjoying this altitude one bit. Looked tired like the Hurricanes did against the Lions in Johannesburg at the 30 mins mark already.

Cheetahs -19.5 very tempting now.
