Don't recover from New Years like I used to. Skipped punting yesterday owing to rather diminished capabilities :silly:
West Ham v West Bromwich Albion
WHM at home are 3-2-4 ( 10-14 ) and 18th in the EPL. WBA away are 1-3-6 ( 5-13 ) and are 19th in the EPL with their only win of the season being on 19th Aug. The reverse fixture in October finished 0-0. John Williams (CEO WBA ) has tried to get this match shifted as WBA played 48 hrs ago and WHM a week ago with no luck. This is why the books have WHM at 9/10. Hard to see a WBA win here but this fixture has finished drawn in each of the last four seasons. I mulled over two 24/10 options here - one being the draw @ 24/10 but my latest lucky coin came down on
Match bet and total West Ham + over 2.5 goals @ 24/10
( They have scored 5 and conceded 6 in last two outings )

Manchester City v Watford
ManCity at home are 9-1-0 ( 36-7 ). Watford away are 4-1-5 ( 16-14 ). The reverse fixture was won 6-0 by ManCity. I cannot see a repeat of that scoreline as ManCity are probably without Jesus,De Bruyne and Silva ( The good one David ). They have also only scored one goal in their last two outings as teams start working out how to defend against Pep. The value here probably lies around ManCity by 2 ie ManC -2 the draw @ 32/10 but I like the odds on this market
Watford to score one goal exactly @ 16/10
( They have scored in 8 of 10 away fixtures )

Two bets for me on this evenings EPL.
I fancy Palace as Southampton have had problems defending against teams who break fast and wide ie lost 1-4 to Leicester and 0-2 to Watford. Will add some meat to the bet with Spurs and ManC
Evening Acca
Palace/Spurs/ManC win @ 11/2

and main bet of the evening
West Ham v West Brom over 2.5 goals @ 33/20
( Not huge logic/stats for this - just think it is far more possible than evens so will take the 33/20 )

Only one match in the EPL tonight and not one I would normally choose to bet on as it will probably be low on cards, corners and goals so something small at decent odds to make the watch interesting.
Arsenal v Chelsea
HT/FT Draw/Chelsea @ 5/1 at Sportingbet

FA Cup Gripe
We have two Premier League sides away to two teams from the 2nd division ( ie 4th tier of football ). The lowest paid EPL player in the side earns more than the entire squad from the 2nd division. WBA and Stoke are away to Exeter and Coventry. We are being offered the 4th tier Double Chance for both sides from 9/10 to 12/10 in SA. A double of the D/C on the two 4th tier teams ( taking the mean price ) works out to 32/10. This is ABSOLUTELY SCANDALOUS. The single bets should be around that price and the double should easily be over 15/1.
Need proof this is crap odds?
In a match-up between two EPL sides tonight the West Ham D/C is on offer from 18/10 to 29/10.
Fellow punters - We are being screwed on the FA Cup
I feel marginally better now so here's my FA Cup acca ( should have come in at around 80/1 :silly: )
All to win
QPR/Blackburn/Villa/Doncaster/Chelsea/Arsenal @ a disappointing 25/1

 I am from the old school and convert all bets to ?/20. The 0.72 on Stoke ended up as 5/20 on my sheet ( read as 0.27 ). Get with the times Vann :woohoo:

FA Cup
Having buggered up the Premier League v 4th tier odds ( see above ) it does mean that the Premier League double odds are very generous and I taking a chunk of it

Stoke + WBA win double @ 18/10 at Sportingbet

FA Cup Outrights
Two stats which influenced my picks. Arsene has been in charge of Arsenal for 21 seasons and taken them to 8 finals ( W 7 L 1 ). The last 10 finals have featured 7 teams from outside the top 6 ( 2 wins ) and Cardiff from the Championship. So a favourite and two sides who are capable on the day of beating top 6 opponents.

Arsenal @ 10/1
Leicester @ 25/1
Palace @ 57/1 ( Hope they get past Brighton )

Nice one Matador (B)

I am so disappointed in FA Cup. I know it is no longer the glitz, but that came with Leicester was a disgrace. How a Premier league team can not have a single shot on goal, is beyond me. Yes good up to Fleetwood but really. Any Leicester player should be hanging there head in shame and there supporters a refund on there travel costs.

Agree KT - last season I watched a similar game with Arsenal away to a non league side and I had to wait till the 90th minute for a shot on target

Surprisingly, Spurs have named a pretty strong line up and Kane starts up front with Llorente. Spurs to score 5 or more @ 5/2
