South Africa
Without Werner Kok and looking a bit lean on experience this weekend with 6 players that have played 8 tournaments or less ... tough group with New Zealand and critical to top the group for easier passage to the final.
Fiji
Were excellent in Vegas, especially with the try under the posts after the hooter against NZ in the QF. Tough to play against the USA as the Yanks had everything going for them. Fiji should be favourites for this tournie
NZ
Mikkelson and Koroi were injured in Vegas and are replaced by Kurt Baker and Luke Masirewa. Baker is very handy in the 7s structures and NZ have the best opportunity to beat SA in the pool stages for quite some time.
USA
They could not have had a better tournament in Vegas! Insane speed in Isles and Baker with power play from Barrett and Pinkleman all brought to life with superb skill of their flyhalf Niua. They were excellent and dominated on that narrow Vegas pitch. They have the same core team available for this weekend and should top their group with ease although the match v Canada will be a goodie. Should meet Fiji in the semi's

On those I would fancy Russia / Kenya / Uruguay and Canada on the caps
SA will want to get through pool stages unscathed and cant see them running riot against Russia.
SA beat Russia 40-5 in South Africa with the strongest possible Blitzbokke side. Russia have some decent players and cant see them losing by 30.
Kenya should have beaten France in Vegas - too many handling errors
I always like betting against the Cup Winners from the previous week in a back-to-back 7s series. The Yanks would have partied and rightly so. They are not at home this week and Uruguay showed great determination in Vegas. Think 26 points is a little high but hoping for a +28.5 somewhere
Then Canada should be fired up in game 1 and keep it within a score of the Aussies. Canada results in Vegas:
- Game 1 - Lost 40-12 to England (Bad game of their weekend)
- Game 2 - Lost 19-12 to SA
- Game 3 - Beat Wales 21-19
- Bowl QF - Beat Spain 21-14
- Bowl SF - Beat Scotland 15-12
- Bowl Final - Lost 26-19 to France
Only loss by double digits was against England.
Come on SA bookies, price up!

Won by 20+ last time agaist them. Time before that by 2, and before that by 17....
Wales playing poorly at the moment, while france showed they can be competitive with the big teams. I think the cap shouldhv been 12.5

Taking a stab of the 18/10 on the Aussies to win.
Too many injuries for the SA and depth of squad questionable.
For the not so brave +4.5 @ 19/20 also backable.

Puke! Took the 1st option - Aussies leading 19 -0 HT and manage to lose.

Fiji were my original fancies although I never had a bet and they had an easy quarter whereas the BB had to pull out all the stops. Australia made us look pretty ordinary early on and Australia themselves had looked shaky at times in the group stages.

Couldnt believe the cap when I saw it. After Fijis display against Argentina, would of though it to open at -13.5, the Blitzbok reputation too much in this. Have coupled Fiji with Aus -5.5 and USA -6.5 . Aus will kick themselves after the bok game and correect their mistake while USA will have too much firepower for Kenya.
