First race of the season and despite an amazing Q3 performance from Hamilton i feel Ferrari are much closer to Merc's on full race pace.

6/1 Vettel win as a value punt.

South do you think we are in for a 2 horse race this season?

cheers Brent. Yes it's going to be Merc v Ferrari again, Hamilton v Vettel, will get heated this year, both know they will be in a dog fight. Hamilton's ability to produce one-lap wonders gives him edge on qualifying, but Ferrari's car will suit the tight tracks more, and there's a number of these on the calendar.

Today Hamilton was unlucky, and probably Raikkonen a bit as well.

I reckon we need another race or two to know exactly where Red Bull are. Think we will see Lewis, Botas, Vettel, Kimi, Max and Ricardo all winning at least one race this season in a closer contest between all three but ultimately Lewis still a cut above them all.

The Merc was also less convincing following other cars last year but when out in front I still see them some distance ahead of Ferrari and RB right now. Hamilton can rightly feel gutted about today - even after the Safety Car stuff up he was able to close the gap on Seb at will but Melbourne is notoriously bad for overtaking. LW will still prove very hard to stop this season imo.
