Points line for Cheethas vs Munster is at 52.5..would normally be all over this like a cheap suit but I see rain expected today and tomorrow in Bloem. Like the look of this Cheethas team but some world class players in this Munster team with a great bench. Will wait for visuals before kick-off to make up my mind.

If weather holds, over 52.5 is golden. If weather is bad, Munster outright

Couple of thoughts for the up coming games.
My early leans nearly all oppose Oracles which on his recent super form is probably a good thing :silly:

Still cant find any confirmation if Dmack is playing for the Chiefs or not. If he plays I agree +10.5 is a good call but if he doesn't I swing the other way. That being the case probably not a great game to push the chips all in on.

You guys prob don't get a sense of it in SA but the Blues are under a lot of pressure to string some better performances together. That sharks game was embarrassing to the team/franchise. The loss to the chiefs while still a loss, showed a lot of improvement. The Blues have had no trouble scoring this season so they should have no trouble putting them on the board vs the Sunwolves. There is a lot of pressure for a complete performance here coupled with the need to right the loss to the Sunwolves at the end of last season.

Brumbies coach is turning up the heat in the media calling out a lack of respect from NZ teams. Brumbies will be up for this one and ill look to back the HT and FT lines. Still fading Arron Mauger all season long.

I see the line has come in on the Chiefs + from 11 to 9 now hope that this is a good sign

Does anyone know who's out for the Canes after last week and how many are missing?

Not getting involved early doors but looking for a Blue overs points play tomorrow. Also with the majority of the forum on the Brumbies plus

Nice article, Brent. I have 2 young children and have also started to think how I am going to handle the betting angle of my sports watching. I have fond memories of supporting WP when I was a child and want my son to have that too.

Regarding the Sunwolves vs Blues game, I have also lined this game up as an overs play, but checking windguru they predicted rain and wind for Tokyo on Saturday. I see the prediction has now moved to later on Saturday and it seems the rain will only come after the game.

On this morning's game I like the Chiefs on the plus and also the 1st half to be higher scoring than the 2nd half. Of 8 NZ derbies this year, only 2 games had the 2nd half been higher scoring. Will also look at an unders play on total points.

Heading along to the canes v chiefs game tonight, been a lovely day in Wellington other than the chill in the air. Was thinking of an overs play but the history between these teams shows largely low scoring affairs

With you Hanrick on the highest scoring half being first half, a trend I have noticed this season.

Also with Canes - 9.5, TJ is a big loss but think they'll be too strong at home in this rivalry game

Added Chiefs time of first penalty before 27mins 45secs as well

Following with the Chiefs plus , missed the plus 10.5 and on plus 9.5 , reducing bet size slightly as a result , also on under 52.5 total.

Apologies - should've been a bit more specific, Damien McKenzie to start

Also late change for Canes - Michael Fatialofa replaces Sam Lousi with Murray Douglas coming on to the bench

I reckon the loss of TJ is worth almost 10 points. I still have a lot of confidence that the Canes will be eager to recover from an average performance against the Sharks. Have gone Canes - 4.5, - 9.5, 13+ and total points over 50.5.

I could be way off but think the Canes could easily build a two score lead by 60min mark. The Chiefs are an absolute 80min side, so it might be a tense final 20 for punters on either side...

Some good value in Cheetahs vs Munster today. Munster have a terrible away record and will be eyeing out their semi final tie against Racing next weekend. Cheetahs have only lost 1 game at home in the Pro 14 this season and have picked a strong side. Although there is a little bit of rain predicted, I wouldn't overanalyse this. A bit of altitude in Bloom could lead to a fairly open game of rugby.

Cheetahs outright @ 1.8 - 3 units
Cheetahs over 13.5 first half points @1.8 - 2 units
Total tries Over 6.5 @ 1.8 - 1 unit
Total points Over 52.5 @ 1.8 - 0.5 unit

I like the cheetahs over 13.5 first half aswell. The bad news tho is Munster seem to be using this game as a dress rehearsal for next weekend's game. They've chosen a strong side. 9 changes from last week's Kings beating side

Cuts are 68.5, 53.5 and 53.5 but I will wait for the tries match and team before making any move

On the Cheetahs game, I m going with the over 2.5 tries HT

Cheetahs v Munster: Buy Munster hotshots at 38 with Spreadex (Sweetnam, Arnold, Conway, Zebo) and F. Venter to score a try at 4/1 with Skybet.

Numbers caught my eye here, the buy price a bit too low and the back price a bit too high (3/1 or more would have been a potential bet for me). Stats are more ok than absolutely convincing but these just make it over the line for me.

Glasgow v Connacht: 3 tryscorers who are essentially "system picks" for me. The stats don't necessarily endorse the bets but they don't put me off taking them either.

Just about to turn in and will follow the forum tip about Wales minus against Uganda , I can only find minus 16.5 so will be a small bet .

Tomorrow's actions starts with the Blues strong favourites, I for one will always oppose them when such strong favourites and I'm sure there ill be a few more supporters of that theory. Even though I'll be lumping on the Wolves as I think they could outsmart the Blues enough to beat the cap , I wouldn't be surprised to see the Blues run away with it , but for now I stick with my guns , Wolves plus.

I fancy the Jag's on the plus too. They've been terribly inconsistent this season once again but I feel the Rebels could be vulnerable playing such an awkward side .

I do fancy the Waratahs in the Ausie derby but it will be a smallish punt in comparison.

I have lumped on the Brumbies plus 17.5 but even though I don't rate them I was impressed with their fight back against the Reds and their overall record against the Highlanders is a good one.

I'm funking for the Sharks to win in Durban and they have really shown some great promise in their last two games on tour , however they're back in Durban where they showed some of their worst form. The Bulls have done well in the past so I'll probably look to on the unders total points.

Not sure if I will get up for the Blues game as the points quotes are higher than what I was hoping for. Have gone over 6.5 Blues tries at 1/1 - in 3 games at home to NZL opposition the Sunwolves have conceded 9, 3 (the Blues when they beat them) and 13 tries and their last 2 home games this season they have conceded 7 to the Waratahs and 9 to the Chiefs
