Think Southampton were unlucky against Everton over the weekend and think they have what it takes to stay above.

Going Southampton to win at 29/20 (WSB).

I like the look of two bets this evening. Both teams to score (19/20) as well as Southampton double chance (away win or draw) + over 1.5 total match goals (9/10). Southampton cannot assume that Man City will have an off day like they did against Huddersfield when they take them on in their last fixture this season, so they will surely target this game to stay up.Simply put, they win tonight they stay in the Premiership. Swansea take on already relegated Stoke at home in their last fixture which in theory should be an easier game to notch up 3 pts so a draw would not be the worst result for them (Something the Saints will be aware of). Given their inferior goal difference by comparison to Southampton (arrears by 7) they would prefer avoiding a loss this evening. In theory Swansea could lose this game and still stay up but would have to rely on both Chelsea and Arsenal to beat Huddersfield. However given their recent heoics against the Citizens, I very much doubt it will be as cut and dry given their rejuvinated belief despite taking on superior opposition . Saints concede an averege of 1.66 goals away from home but have been relatively succesful on the road finding themselves 13th on the away log (unbeaten 55.55% of the time) Swansea concede an average of 1.23 at home. So with that said it would'nt surprise me if we saw a scoring draw (1-1) given the importance of this game. Should that be the case both markets will land.

Both teams situation perfectly set out by BB above and agree with JA on the Everton match. Mark Hughes has started attacking sides recently and then thrown on more attackers to get a result. They would have learnt from the weekend that one goal is not enough so my pick for the evening is
Southampton 2 goals exactly @ 3/1

( If 0-0 at half time will probably run an early goal spread for the second half on whichever side looked the likeliest to score in the first half )

Wednesday EPL
Chelsea v Huddersfield
Wagner needs one point to ensure survival - either tonight or at home to Arsenal. I'm guessing he fields a weakened team tonight and looks for that point on Sunday.
Chelsea -2.0 win @ 16/10
Leicester v Arsenal
Leicester have been leaking goals and Arsenal are in the final throws of paying homage to the Wenger style of play. Has to be goals in this match
Match goals over 4.5 @ 26/10
Manchester City v Brighton
ManC are already on holiday. If Huddersfield can get a draw at the Etihad there is no reason why Brighton can't
Draw @ 17/2
Tottenham v Newcastle
Spurs need a win because Chelsea are breathing down their necks for the last Champions League spot. Rafa will set up his side in his usual meticulous way and its going to be a struggle.
Spurs to win by one goal exactly @ 3/1

Rafa: “We need to finish on a high. The team deserve that and the fans need to see that at home.”
Taking btts between Newcastle and Chelsea at 1.75. May even take Newcastle DC at 2.25. Realistically Chelsea blew fourth spot by drawing with Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge. Liverpool can cement fourth spot at Anfield with a draw against a side that will be content with getting through this campaign unscathed (Brighton). Reds could also jump Spurs to 3rd spot if they beat Brighton and Spurs lose or draw against Leicester at Wembley.

Mackem has listed his long odds dogs for the final round of the EPL so, just to confuse everyone further, here are my "Hail Mary's"
Burnley v Bournemouth
At 2mil pounds a position Bournemouth will still be interested but I think Burnley are the slightly better side
HT/FT Draw/Burnley @ 42/10
Palace v WBA
In their last four outings WBA have beaten ManU/Spurs/NewC and drawn with Liverpool. Wrong favorite here
BTTS and WBA win @ 7/1
Huddersfield v Arsenal
Arsenal have given Arsene his send off against Burnley last week. They were rubbish on Wednesday and Huddersfield have drawn their last two against ManC and Chelsea
BTTS and Draw @ 4/1
Liverpool v Brighton
Liverpool are two weeks away from the Champions League final so I expect a slightly weaker side but still enough fire power to score several
Match goals 4 exactly @ 38/10
ManU v Watford
With the FA Cup next week Jose will field several reserves. As we know the reserves are crap and most of them are going to be sold so Good News Brent
Watford D/C @ 2/1
Newcastle v Chelsea
Konti already gave up on top 4 when he fielded a weakened team against Huddersfield and his only thought is FA Cup
BTTS and Draw @ 43/10
Southampton v ManC
Southampton need to lose by as few as possible to ensure their survival - always a bad attitude to have going into a match
Match goals over 4.5 @ 28/10
Swansea v Stoke
Stoke have had two weeks to get over being relegated. Swansea may still believe in fairy tales but any goal from Stoke and its over
Stoke win @ 33/10
Spurs v Leicester
Spurs have been rubbish in the last two weeks - they were saved by the post against Newcastle in mid week and they have nothing to play for
Leicester D/C @ 25/10
West Ham v Everton
A dour battle between two defensive managers - Hope for a goal each
BTTS and Draw @ 3/1
