With you there. I think it is more than just talk, everything I have read basically confirms that their All Blacks will not be playing.

Sharks dnb x Exeter dnb @ 1.85
Crusaders dnb x Jaguares dnb @ 2
I m following the trend on Sharks with the news that Chiefs should be without their ABs
I was expecting Crusaders dnb to be lower so taking a piece of it as I can’t see the Blues winning that game
Jaguares should confirm their good form against the Bulls
Exeter to beat Newcastle by 10 at least
Over tries to come later - I already have targeted few games so will post on available.
On the top 14, I can see Toulon winning the game v Lyon by 10+ but the Toulouse v Castres is hard to call - home advantage for Toulouse but Castres can be extremely painful to play, especially when they play without any pressure.

Bulls and Jags. Can the Jags wins five in a row? I don't think so.The Bulls playing brilliant type of test rugby. It looks like the players has buy -in their coaches style. CAUTION. The Blues normally top-over the top teams on the log. They beat the Lions when the lions was top on the log.Same can happen to the Crusaders. Crusaders looks tired.

Can anyone confirm the NZ players availability for the weekend Super rugby matches. If what i heard is true it can be a much more interesting weekend for team to play against NZ opposition.

Took Sharks -4 @ 10/11 this am, line hasn't moved but not sure bookies have got this right. Sharks pack will monster Chiefs in my view, Retallick missing a huge difference, was a colossus at Newlands.
My next best is Brumbies +16.5 @ 19/20. Pressure off playing from home, bit like it was for Tahs against Saders, getting away from the negative vibes in Aus on their super rugby teams. Brumbies have a superb record in Joburg, welcome back their 2 best players in Poicock and Naisarani, the latter has been a standout this season. Lions looked a bit tired at end of game against Highlanders, been a tough tour.
Brumbies +16.5 looks very good value IMHO.

Chiefs came to SA to target the match at Newlands and got the job done, now 11 players are coming into the squad that were not contracted at start of season! Just let that sink in ...
Lets check the Chiefs last 5
Away vs Stormers - Won 15-9 (Covered the -0.5 cap)
Home vs Jags - Lost 23-19 (Failed to cover the -13.5 cap)
Away vs Reds - Won 36-10 (Covered the -12.5 cap)
Away vs Canes - Lost 25-13 (Failed to cover the +9.5 cap)
Home vs Blues - Won 21-19 (Failed to cover the -8.5 cap)
Sharks home form
Round 12 - Won 38-12 vs Landers (Smashed the +5.5 cap)
Round 11 - Won 24-17 vs Stomers (Covered the -3.5 cap)
Round 9 - Lost 40-10 vs Bulls (Failed to cover the -6.5 cap)
Round 4 - Won 52-10 vs Sunwolves (Covered the -27.5)
Round 3 - Drew 24-24 with Tahs (Failed to cover the -6.5)
Sharks should have definitely covered the Round 3 cap vs Tahs, braindead rugby from them led to a last ditch try from the Tahs. Barring the Bulls match, the Sharks have been solid at home. I also liked the fighting spirit coming from 17 points down to make the final 5 minutes against the Bulls a good contest. The Sharks have to get a bonus point win while the Chiefs only needed one win from their SA tour. Just want to Thank the Stormers for giving us gold! Sharks to tear the Chiefs B team to pieces!
Sharks -4.5 is GOLDEN!

Just to confirm, it's just the Chiefs that lose their ABs this weekend.
AB camp is on Sunday to Tuesday. All other NZ teams play in NZ (Highlanders in Aus), as such their ABs are able to play Saturday and front up Sunday. This not possible for the Chiefs of course who play in Durban.
Took some Sharks -3 yesterday, then thought about it some more (plus read comments on here) I went back and took some -4
Also smaller play -8
Retallick and Cane are absolute key players in the pack and they've looked poor without McKenzie at 10.
Chiefs are a gritty side though, so I doubt it will be a smashing, but it should be a comfortable Sharks victory.

Still think they will be fine against the Tahs. No NZ team will want to be the one that breaks the winning streak against Aus sides which is now at a ridiculous 39!

This will move out by at least 2 points when the Chiefs name their side.
Mike Fraser as ref doesn't worry me, after all the hype about the Kiwi refs in the media, he will know the spotlight is on him so expect a better performance from him.
Sharks in a "must win", Chiefs in "an afford to lose"
Sharks results vs NZ teams this year outstanding! (They really should have beaten the Canes in NZ)
Then looking at 2nd match of SA tour for NZ teams this season
Blues:
Game 1 - Won 38-35 v Lions
Game 2 – Lost 37-20 v Stormers
Highlanders
Game 1 – Won 29-28 v Bulls
Game 2 – Lost 38-12 v Sharks
The Highlanders were excellent against the Bulls but lost intensity against the Sharks as did the Blues v Stormers ...
Chiefs form which reads WLWL in last 4 games so a proper zig-zag, as is their handicap covering ... Then the biggest loss of personal is Dmack in attack and Brodie in defense and set piece. Had the Sharks been without their Boks, we would all be loading on the Chiefs!
In the end it all points to a Sharks win

LOL, plenty others would taken same early view based on size of train, hopefully the Sharks are on their game.
Brumbies +16.5 would be the SILVER play after the RB golden stamp on Sharks -.

Well turns out none of the above are sitting out this week. Ben Smith must be sitting out the next two against Reds and Canes, which actually probably is the smart way to go (unless he has an exemption due to his sabbatical)
Highlanders team looks strong and I think I'll take some -4.5 @1.85 (B365) in addition to having them in my treble

At last – some lateral thinking by a punter.
It is obvious that, week after week, the set handicaps by bookies are way out.
Taking the odds against on the handicap for the side you fancy is a no brainer!
But why still take 88/100 on the first game?
Pick a side and take the 12/10 or better!

Tyler Ardron is a loose forward that is switching to lock to replace Retallick. As mentioned, Retallick is a beast of a player and really gets the line out going and is superb in defense. Marty Mack is certainly no DMack and have not seen much of Polwart at hooker or Wainui on the wing.
Sharks by contrast have a strong side that has to bounce back. Mapimpi off the bench should be explosive which puts more shine to this weekend's GOLDEN play!

Marty is a Polard like type of player. Testing and Taking the line on until a weak place appear. Be carefull,
the whole rugby family gonna think Sharks will run away with it. Do not let the Bookies smile all the way to the Bank. Sharks -7,5 looks scary.Chiefs did it once on KINGS PARK. My Bet : Robert du Preez, Any time scorer.

Cheers for this but the Sharks have lifted their game against NZ opposition this season and its crazy not to back the Sharks against a side without the experience of Retallick and start quality of DMack. Sharks by double digits for me
