Only one thing worse than a pre-season friendly in my book and that's an end of season friendly, particularly when Barca haven't finished their domestic season yet and national managers are naming their World Cup squads.

Take your point on the occasion though and my Downs supporting friends are fully "charged up". I reckon Downs will score but I think it it's odds on and not for me at that price. If there are any goalscorer markets about then Kekana might be worth a nibble, likes a dip from long range and playing the occasion I reckon he wont need a second invitation to try and score a "worldy" against Barca.

And the dumb award goes to....Barcelona! With the greatest of respect to Sundowns. Who rests Lionel Messi in a league game when history is about to be made by going through the entire domestic season unbeaten to play in a friendly.....absolutely ridiculous!

Granted they have plenty star players at their disposal and perhaps arrogance came into play by assuming they would just rock up and not lose to Levante....well they did lol. I bet they wished thry had Messi on the bench to save thei blushes now!

I hope that error in judgement was worth it. Play a friendly in Africa then fly back to play last domestic league game of season at the Nou Camp with nothing to play for now. Talk about an anti-climax!
