Spurs DC&U3.5 at 1.05/1

“...Manchester United, who would never hire a manager like Pulis in a million years...” reckons The Guardian.
Well, at the back of a shaky start to the season I reckon Portuguese Tony won’t be risking a loss vs Top 6 opposition, he will simply batten down the hatches here. The quality of player on display dictates that the few chances presenting themselves might be put away, I just can’t help but nibble at that 10/1 for no goals being scored.

Took Spurs at 19/10 last week, still feel comfortable about it.

I felt ManU were fortunate to get 3 points from the Leicester visit. They were outplayed for most of the second half and Leicester had 13 shots to ManU's 8. ManU were certainly second best at Brighton last week. Not sure why the books have ManU as the favorites as they give every impression of a club in disarray. I don't believe Mourinho can park the bus as this years model has no doors or windows so I am taking
Spurs to win @ 2/1
and a speculative
Spurs 3-1 @ 20/1
( If one side has not scored at half time will probably run a second half goal minutes spread )

Good work with Spurs Monday night lads, I gave Man Utd far too much respect, what a sulk Mourinho is, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets sacked soon although not sure if there is an outstanding candidate available to take over.

Wednesday night Absa Prem preview, 6 matches covered.

Nothing really stands out as a best bet but plenty of home wins in the picks

Look, the chap has taken some proper stick from his own fans recently but his response last night was right up there with silliest acts you’ll see in football - almost costing his team dearly in the process.

Liking your home wins for tonight, will probably follow you on Wits and SSU.

I know I might need to have my head read for this, but I think even in their current state of flux, Man United have a golden opportunity to put some daylight between themselves and the relegation zone come Sunday   . Burnley have a massive European tie tonight. Trailing by 2 goals from the 1st leg, they have it all to do if they are to make it to the group stages of the Europa League. A 3-day turnaround time, after a draining European night, is simply too big a hurdle to overcome for a team whose squad quality doesn’t run that deep. Man United on the -1 handicap generally available at around 9/5.

I don’t rate that Hughes fella much, so I expect Crystal Palace to continue their steady progress under Roy Hodgson. The Eagles to overcome the Saints at evens with GGG.

Chelsea have begun the season in impressive fashion under Maurizio Sarri. I still do not think he has tightened it up properly at the back as yet, so I expect Bournemouth to take advantage of that. BTTS at 17/20.

Saturday EPL preview

Brighton + Hove Albion v Fulham
Home 12/10 Draw 24/10 Away 47/20
Not much on the match odds although the draw at 24/10 has some appeal. The goals market has more going for it. Fulham, like ManU, have leaked 7 goals in their 3 matches but have managed to score one more than ManU. The Brighton v ManU fixture produced 5 goals at this ground and I quite like the look of the over 3.5 match goals at 22/10 but my pick here would be
BTTS and over 2.5 match goals @ 23/20
(If you are considering the draw at 24/10 I would suggest the BTTS and draw which bumps the odds up to 13/4)

Saturday EPL preview

Crystal Palace v Southampton
Home 19/20 Draw 49/20 Away 13/4
Last season this fixture was won 1-0 by Southampton whilst Palace won 2-1 at St Mary's.
I'm with Mackem on the Southampton relegation possibilities which means the match odds are about correct. The Southampton defense has looked reasonable in the matches I have watched and I don't believe Palace will run away with the match which gives us our bet
Palace to win by one goal exactly @ 53/20

Saturday EPL preview

Everton v Huddersfield
Home 5/10 Draw 63/20 Away 6/1
Last seasons meetings were both won 2-0 by Everton.
I don't believe there is any profit to be made in trying to guess by how much Everton will win. Everton have conceded 2/1/2 ( admittedly with 10 men half the time) in their opening three matches and the defense has not looked solid. After being unable to put Cardiff away last week Wagner now needs to be more adventurous, especially away from home, and I think Huddersfield may sneak a goal here. The BTTS at 11/10 is too short so my pick would be
Huddersfield one goal exactly @ 16/10

Have been looking for one winner a weekend and I believe with all the hype around Mourinho that Man U are going to come out guns blazing, taking Man U on the -1 handicap at 17/10.

The Liverpool cash machine was temporarily out of service last week but they’ve been too good to me to put me off sticking with them -

Guys I was strong on Palace at 1/1 but see they went off around 15/10, does anyone know the reason for the drift (which turned out to be spot on)

Wilfried Zaha was injured in training so was unable to play. I think Palace lost all 10 games he didn’t play in last season.
