A really busy week of football with Champions League and Europa League starting, we have Absa Premiership throughout the week and EPL at the weekend.

UEFA Champions League
Winner will probably come from the top 7 in the odds.
I'm going to exclude Liverpool ( Will take the EPL over this trophy any day of the week ), Real Madrid ( Were not the best side last year but had the Ronaldo factor ), PSG ( New manager not a proven winner and untested at this level ) Bayern Munich ( New manager and under performing/ageing stars in key positions )
Manchester City and Barcelona have both confirmed this trophy as their target for the season which leaves Juventus. Twice finalists in the last four years and very unlucky to lose to Real and the Ronaldo wonder goal in the quarters. Same manager plus Ronaldo this season means they get my vote

UEFA Champions League
A few beer out rights
Roma have a slightly stronger squad this year, same manager and have drawn what seems to be any easy group. Last season they ran Liverpool very close in the semi's and they rate as my roughie

While I understand they didn’t cover themselves in glory against Watford, Brighton seem to have upped their tempo and I don’t think they disgraced themselves against Liverpool. BTTS at evens seems like a good shout. I also like the look of Ings finding the net at 2/1

Following their demolition of CT City, hopefully Kaizer Chiefs have turned the corner there as you say Mackem, so I’ll follow you on that away win tomorrow night in the PSL.

I'm leaning towards Spurs at Inter, current league form a worry for Spurs but they came through group stage easily last season and by looks of it Inter have struggled early in Serie A

After seeing a professional, it seems like I should be able to make a full recovery from the kick in the gonads and dagger through the heart administered by Ramos & Karius many moons ago.

I'll be looking to take some inspiration from The Vann over long-term forecasts, hopefully I can make my mind up in time there.

I was eyeing Spurs since the draw but they looked absolutely flat against Liverpool on Saturday. Inter vs Spurs (BTTS) & Atletico win double at a shade over 2/1 for tonight

Spurs becoming a bogey team for me, depth in their squad will be tested seeing as no one new was brought in.

Hollywood have Juventus at even money for tonight, climbed in deep there.

Plus a small 5/1 multiple, Juventus win onto BTTS in the Real Madrid game onto BTTS at Benfica.

Unlucky with Man City there Vann.

My main and only bet for this Europa League Thursday is Chelsea at 8/10, feel there is great value in that.

Also Arsenal might be looking at Europa League as a way into Champions League and at 8/1 can definitely get some of my beer money.

Thanks JA. Was a little too bullish on that punt and took a bigger hit then normal. Could not find the 8/10 on Chelsea so have gone with the 13/20 into Arsenal which gives me a shade over the 8/10.
The odds on BATE away in Hungry of 7/4 caught my eye but as I was placing they lengthened to 19/10 so I chickened. Can't find any explanation but I would price BATE as favorites in that tie any day of the week. May risk a few beers closer to kick off.

Good shout on Arsenal there Jaco, Emery has already aired his dislike about Wenger's 'Top 4 trophy'. And the man monopolised this trophy during his time at Sevilla.
It should be interesting to see what Sarri does with the rest of the line-up because I see Hazard hasn't even made the trip to Greece (...as I'm writing, I see he's gone pretty strong).

Euro Club Index says BATE are 83 places better than their opponents - thanks Vann! (sometimes these price movements are just a red herring, by kickoff you could get evens for Juventus)

Enjoyed the show guys. 9 Good selections but I think the "Value" bet is more of a "Desperation" bet. 26 EPL matches last season and 5 this season with no goal for van Dijk - Value should be closer to 29/1 rather then 29/4.
A few EPL Saturday picks
Fulham v Watford
Watford are going well and Fulham have leaked 2+ goals in every match
Watford over 1.5 goals @ 12/10
Burnley v Bournemouth
Tough to call but this bet covers their last four results
Match to be won by one goal exactly @ 13/10
Cardiff v Manchester City
ManC could rack up anything from 1-7 goals but I Cardiff are either 0 or 1 - an easier pick
Cardiff one goal exactly @ 37/20
Manchester United v Wolves
The ManU defense looks better and I have been impressed with the Wolves defense. I think a match which is likely to be settled late in the second half

Still learning about football teams etc. but I'm doing better here than in the rugby at least. Only blemish is, I had ManU in a great multiple. Didn't watch that game, was ManU bad or Wolves good?
