International rugby is back with the Boks playing England at Twickenham.

I haven't seen any betting yet but imagine the home team will be narrow favourites - perhaps -4.5?

Wales host Scotland and here I would have the Welsh around -6.5

On the Pro 14 front the Kings and Cheetahs are at home - my projected caps

Kings +14.5 v Leinster
Cheetahs -0.5 v Munster

Looking to bounce back from a poor weekend with WP outright bet and Cheetahs over 31.5 losing

Thanks Brent , a quiet weekend by my standards and ended up slightly up. Really look forward to these Autumn Internationals and will be ready to fire . Just hoping the albatross i've been hanging around my neck for the last 7 weeks will finally take flight otherwise it could be a disaster .

The pro 14 will be interesting and look forward to the early caps.

My predicted caps :

Japan plus 40.5 vs AB's
( Expecting AB's to put foot off peddle with WC of course around the corner )
England minus 4.5 vs Bok's ( Agree Brent , will have a look at weather closer )
Wales minus 8.5 vs Scotland
Ireland minus 21.5 vs Italy.
USA plus 28.5 vs NZ maori.

Coil, if you offered me +40.5 on the Japs I would be all over it! All Blacks best 22 players are already in Europe so 2nd team playing against the Japs. Handicap likely to be half what you predicted.

A lot will depend on the Cheetahs team selection I would say. The Pro14 side played Saturday the Currie Cup side played more than a month ago.

See Sunbet is out at Cheetahs -26.5

Wow, so they are going big for the relegation game. Still, cap just too high for me to get involved. Does make me wish that Cheetahs could be melded into one team again.

Here is the Cheetahs v SWD preview

goodforthegame.co.za/Currie-Cup-2018/fre...betting-preview.html

Sunbet line is 28.5 now, can't find a price anywhere else at time of the post but assume more books will price up very soon.

Think Cheetahs can still cover 28.5, will edit preview if anything more favourable comes up, 4 of 10 units the stake.

Betfair/Paddy Power go Japan +36

Didn't see their game last week, but I'm sure they'll be much better for the runout.

Probably not as confident as what you are Hanrick, but happy to have a moderate strike on the plus

All over Japan +36.5 vs NZ. Japan have experience playing against better opposition following the Sunwolves' experiences in Super Rugby. They will be keen to do the business at home ahead of next years RWC.

Elsewhere, small play on Italy +27.5 due to Ireland excluding Best and Sexton. The Italian teams form in Pro 14 has been respectable and I feel this cap is too big.

No strike yet on Eng vs Boks but leaning towards Eng on the board at 0.8 due to absence of Willie, Faf and Mostert for Boks.

I'll go with either side to win by 1-7 points inc tie. Price in that market was 1.55/1 for last week's Currie Cup final so perhaps a touch shorter this week when it becomes available

As it is televised live I was hoping for points, tries and in-play betting - there is still some time left for the bookies to price it up.

Ok so the early fancy of 36.5 is now 35.5 , just looking again at that NZ back line , well the predicted one and it's very dangerous , the forwards though should lack some cohesion .

I'll def be in the plus side of things but not for as big as initially thought , def agree that japan should be a lot better with that first game under their belts and still agree that the RWC and powers that be won't want a slaughter ....

Also really like Italy plus , their top sides playing ok ( Zebra and Treviso ) , Ireland might be focused else where ..

Still undecided about the Bok match , leaning at the current cap on England .

Finally like Wales minus .

Also on -13,5 (thanks to you guys for pointing it out)
Japan +35,5
Italy +28,5 I think this cap is a bit too big, as Ireland are missing their best players and this game is being played on neutral ground.

Had best weekend punting results for 6 months and realised why i enjoy this time of the year - less is more. Easier to focus on a few key games then the super rugby season or currie cup + european cup. A few good games to look forward to this weekend -

Jap v AB - i'm not steaming in here on the plus like last week as line is holding at 36.5 and think with WC coming next year there a few fighting to impress Hansen. Will leave cap and may focus on AB points.

Eng v SA - waiting for teams but leaning towards Boks on best plus, think England could be rusty early on.

Wal v Scots - Quite bullish on Scots +6.5. Game under roof will suit their style and not a bad squad even with some selection resitrctions on non-Scotland based players.

Ire v Italy - cannot have Italians on any plus, just don't trust them, club form or not. Ireland depth is good and think Italy on 1st half plus best hope, Ireland on second half minus.

Well both the half time and full time caps arrive (I was only on the half time) but by only a score.

When Maxwane (who I think is a good player) scored that 2nd Cheetahs try and casually put it down instead of going closer to the posts I had a horrible feeling that would come back to haunt me. The missed conversion meant I was always a converted try away from losing the -13.5 and when SWD got penalties before and after the hooter I could just see myself getting a good old rodgering

Overall a pretty poor game and Cheetahs never really got out of (or had to) 2nd gear.

You had me chuckling there Brent , what didn't happen to you in those final stages has happened to me in abundance the last 2 months , the amount of last second scores have ALL lost me huge bets and the swing has been huge , whether it has been handicaps, points etc . Thankfully last week I managed to stem the flow and am hoping for a change of fortunes going forward . This has def been the longest and worst run of form in my betting history I'd say .

Bottom two teams facing off in the Top 14 this weekend

Think with all the problems Toulon have, Perpignan might be in with a shot to at least get a losing bonus point so will take the +17.5 @ 1.90 at WSB (GG Gaming +17.5 @ 1.80). Most other places the line is closer to +13.5.

Caught most show this morning on replay. What i like is that if the guys have a bad week they say it and don't shy away, which is what all punters should do. Can't only call the winners, got to accept the losses. Good work guys.

Onto the Japan game - man i can't have them even @ +36. I get the point about Japan not wanting a blow out in lead up to World Cup but they will have more prep games to come and All Blacks, even B side, are not charitable. The way the makeshift, far inferior to AB's, WorldXV side stretched out to a 31-7 lead last week just sticks in my head too much. They ran out of puff because it was a side filled with guys at end of careers.

If All Blacks go 14-0 or 21-0 up early on it could get messy.

I'm leaving the cap and looking for best line on AB's points.

I also like the following try scorer markets for the Boks vs England:

Anytime try Dyanti @2.6
Anytime try Marx @2.6

Marx has never played against England so expect him to make a big impact.
Also, looking at the forward packs for Saturday, I definitely give the upper hand and physicality to the Boks. So, I can see Marx being at the back of a few driving mauls.

Unfortunately yes. They're showing very little rugby this weekend. Can't belive they're not giving us a Pro14 or English Premiership game tonight.

Will have to stream the games. Have come across a very nice streaming website that shows every single game and no need to register to use it.
