Feels strange to be betting on the last major of the year this early. Just a small heads-up. The promotion at BetXchange for a refund of your bet on a major if player finishes in top 3 is not worth the hassle. I placed a bet on Koepka in the US Open in line with their promotion and he finished second. I have since emailed customer care twice, complaints once, been through the chat and the bet has been escalated to the relevant department. I have been phoned and told Ronelle will fix it but we now stand at the start of the final major and my bet made on 12 June is still listed as pending.
Not a promotion I would consider again - BUT - I am damn annoyed as it would be a very good option on The Open.

Everybody seems a bit reluctant to get their bets in for this one,but here goes.

Rory is probably worthy favourite and Schauffele will likely perform well again, but both are too short for me.

Cantlay - 35/1
Kuchar - 35/1 (seems to be fancied alot of places)
Spieth - 35/1
Finau - 80/1
Mickelson - 100/1
Noren - 110/1
Johnson.Z - 160/1

On Couchs' picks:
C'bello looks in form a lot these days without much payoff and Rahm is Rahm,so could blitz the field any day.
I also looked at Stenson, felt maybe a bit short on recent performances.....
.....but Scott is the one who barely, barely missed out in my staking plan. So will be watching him with interrest.

Major = Koepka. In major's he is like Tiger Woods Mark 1 - just have to take him. Fancied Kuchar for the past few months for this but am a little disappointed the odds are so short.

Except for Charlie at The Masters I do not normally bet this market but have seen some of this guy recently and he just looks like someone who can go really low occasionally. (Like for eg Furyk)

Brooks welcomes local knowledge

Speaking of Koepka, the reigning US Open champion was quick to hail the influence of Elliott, who knows the Dunluce Links inside out.

Koepka has finished second, first and second in the majors so far this year, but admits he will need to utilise every bit of his man on the bag’s expertise to triumph this week.

“Luckily my caddie has played this golf course, I can't tell you how many times, so that's a big advantage. It's nice to have him on the bag this week,” he said.

“Every hole I just step up on, ‘You tell me what to do, you've played it more than anybody’. So i just let him figure it out. He knows his spots to miss it.

“The spots to come in from, with different hole locations and different winds. I’ll definitely have a little bit more confidence having him on the bag this week, knowing this golf course so well.”

Local caddie, top player!
