Some early handicaps for Currie Cup Round 2, these are from WSB, I haven't had chance to see who else is out right now.

Griquas -7.5 v Pumas
Bulls -5.5 v Cheetahs
Sharks +4.5 v WP

Thoughts most welcome. first thought my side is to go Griquas minus but undecided on the other 2 right now

Have taken early Bulls -5.5. Banking on Cheetahs not having played for a few months and Van Staden being on the bench for the Bulls.
Also think Cheetahs will be building towards the Pro14.

Just seen the bok starting 15. B team selected especially the backline. I am max on the Aussies both outright and the plus.

I can't see this team winning.

Took an all to come with SA outright, ARG +12.5 and Stellar Motion in race 2 at the Vaal tomorrow (will win as far as you can throw a stone). Got a little under 4to1 on it. Can't have the Currie Cup at the moment, easier to punt black or red at your nearest Casino!

Boks -7,5 is the bet I go. This backline wil run and run and run until the Wallabies will feel there no air left for them. Jessie Kriel has also tipped , they will give them no space to breath.also Boks straight win.Rassie want to pick up momentum. The Argies has to much foreign players for this clash. AB 's by 15.

Taking NZ Maori -6.5 v Fiji

11 changes to the Fiji team that beat them last week, with several of the topline Euro players that starred out: Nakarawa, Mata, Botia and Tuisova. Only 3 players remaining from the starting side that beat France in Paris last year. Looks like they even have a few players without pro contracts starting - tight 5 especially looks very weak.

www.fbcnews.com.fj/sports/rugby/flying-f...ri-all-blacks-named/

NZ Maori much the same team, couple small improvements, playing at home on Saturday night in Rotorua (Maori heartland) should get decent crowd and TV audience. Will be out for a big win after last weeks thrashing.....

Only bet so far is the Pumas plus, managed to get some +15 earlier this week.

Looking forward to watching The Handicap later - in particular getting opinions on the Boks v Aus match, have no idea or feeling on that one.....

ARG vs NZ

Only concern i have with this is that these NZ players are playing fr WC spots.

Also most of the AB 's had a extra week off , as 13 Jag's where involved in SR Final.

Going to be interesting.

I see the total points line for the Bokke game is 50 at WSB. Is that not a bit low? I can't remember what was said on the Handicap last night.

Not a great start to the weekend! Had a touch more on the full time cap than the HT play in the Griquas game and then the Bulls were an absolute no-show for me.

Bigger plays await tomorrow on the Argies and especially Province. Looking forward to a good afternoon/evening of ruggas tomorrow and of course hopefully a profitable one:cheer:

7-7 at the break, seems like Fiji started strong but Maori came back and were piling on pressure at end of half with no joy. A bit too invested in this one and just hope Maori can pull finger

Always pleasing to see WP get beaten by Sharks but not when it costs you a live treble, the under 57.5 sunk by that late conversion.

Not played any other rugby other than that but time to get stuck in -

Boks v Aus
Over 49.5 @ 17/20
Boks over 13.5 2nd half Pts @ 19/20
1st try banks 16/1
Last try Reinach 25/1

Great play South

An up and down weekend for me but pretty pissed at losing Pumas points, how Sanchez missed that kick I do not know but I somehow knew as it happened I was done

This was far from a full strength All Blacks team and I can't see the Pumas getting past France and England in the RWC

Oddly Brent i took the opposite view. The cap was 12, they lost by 4. They could have easily won it at end. It’s been a long season for the jags and 13 started today. I think that was a factor. Yes NZ not full strength but still a very strong side.

I’m actually feeling even more confident on Argentina v France. They will come in very prepared off some tough matches whereas France will just have a few softer warm ups.

I guess it could go either way - I started forming my view in the Super Rugby final when they butchered scoring opportunities - they just don't seem to be able to deliver that killer blow

And of course there is the fact that I always struggle to go against France LOL

One thing I am confident of is tries will be few and far between from the quarters onwards - may need to get a spread account going for some shirt selling
