I'm not one for season long bets, but my mate just had a couple of quid on a fun bet that has insane odds considering the stats...

Any outfield player to score from his own half @ 100/1

Initially, I thought it was a clever ploy as the exclusion of goalkeepers massively decreases the chances of this landing, however, I did a quick check and it looks like its actually landed 3 times in the last 9 years. Could be worrh a tenner.

It's a mental price. I remember Robinson, Howard and Begovic scoring within the last 10 or so years, so assumed Alonso must of been the last outfield player. Turns out, I completely forgot about Wayne Rooney and Charlie Adam doing it in the last few seasons!

Despite breaking their transfer record and adding a few, circumstances mean the Spurs starting 11 doesn't look overally strong. Kane has had a proper preseason, for once, so I can see him getting on the score sheet

Just seen this. Hope you had a drink or 2 to celebrate the full house. Amazing shout.

Quality Stokes. Nice thing about the EPL is it runs for 38 weeks. I tend to start small for 2-3 weeks to get a feel before betting the house.

Really poor manager selection by Ashley. Liked Steve Bruce as a player but just not a manager - something around 14 teams/almost 1,000 competitive matches and never won anything. A little dabble in something with longer odds

Cheers guys. Tbh, I wouldn't of been too upset with a 1-1 draw after 70 mins as we didn't look like scoring, despite it being one way traffic. Eriksen sub was the turning point, so pretty fortunate to land one, let alone all three. City look banker material for accas next week. Best price I've seen is 4/9 and can't see how Spurs get anything out of it. On the plus side, Ndombele looks like a potentially great signing.
