My gut reaction was it seemed a low price (9 to buy elsewhere). Stats aren't spectacular for the players in question but, to be honest, it's such a cheap buy I'd rather buy it and lose than swerve it and see a high make-up now I've considered it. Think that's me done for tomorrow's games.

The smugness and general unwillingness to see that everything was slightly "false" was palpable on here...
The original quote of around 20 points on the line was spot on...
Let it be a lesson to us all...

A number of issues....who actually knew the Russia team that played Italy? How good are Japan really? Surely expectation on Japan can hinder them? Russia...do they have anything to lose. No they don't. They have a free card here...sure they'll be shit later on...but on the world rugby stage..in the first match...they are going to turn up.

I would jump on anything under 30 if they played each other again next week. Japan were Pacific Nations Cup champions. Russia slipped into the comp by default. There was Italy AND Jersey and the fact that even the coach was saying he didn't have nearly the time he wanted with his side.
The Brave Blossoms were clearly completely overwhelmed by the occasion - those basic kicks they put down was a clear sign of the pressure of the occasion. I thought it would motivate them but instead it crippled them. So yes the 40 was clearly wayyy too much considering this but as stated I would jump on 20 every single time, even knowing what I do now.
In other news those long water breaks and the struggles with handling was exactly as most expected.
Happy hunting tomorrow everyone!

Totally agree with Couch, Leach was virtually stuttering when he spoke to the TV people before the game, far too much pressure.
I was on the -39.5 too, despite Oracle warning us about the big minuses. And I’d also take it again tomorrow.
And I’m on Italy -28.5, and England -40.5 too. So, nobody to blame but myself if they don’t arrive: but they will
In other news, Sportingbet still haven’t refunded me my (attempted) cancelled Canterbury bet, bullshitting me instead that they’re not allowed to, despite offering cash-out options on all my other bets. Then they send me a survey asking me what I think of their service. Obviously I said they must be the stupidest people in the world to treat a customer like that, especially a customer who loses as much as I do to them. They don’t need to steal and lie too. Dumb shits.
Good picking guys.

Anyway, going against the grain on the Fiji game. Small play taking Aus-14.5 at 9/10. Super dangerous Fiji backline but I haven’t been impressed with them in the build up in the Pacific Cup. Like Brent mentioned the other night, that Aus performance against AB’s in Perth showed glimpses of quality. The White - Lealiifano partnership looked good! Hopefully the air conditioning at the Sapporo dome will make for better conditions. Good punting lads!

Today I'm all over the Boks!
Got them on the outright and +7.5 at 8/10 at GG
The best opportunity to beat the AB's on the big stage, Boks are in peak condition, know their best XV and everyone in the united squad knows their duties while the AB's team selection is questionable and cracks have been showing.
COME ON BOKKE!
Scared money dont make money! BOOM!

BDub wrote: Put up or shut up! I’d still take my Japan -22.5 and -25.5 any day of the week. Couldn’t believe the game plan from Japan. Seemed like it was to kick the ball away at all cost which is a complete 180 from the way they always play. Tamura was awful.

Happy with that win but wouldn't have minded losing that one. Jeez the standard of reffing is absolutely shocking. Hodge should have been red carded for that hit on Yato. Not even reviewed.
On to a bigger play on Argies +2.5

Yellow card 5/4, Red card 14/1 (Lads or Sportingbet)
NZ first yellow card 12/5, >1.5 total cards 3/1 (Hills)
Yellow card both teams 6/1 (Betway)
Garces apparently not shy of carding the All Blacks and these prices all seem reasonable for an added interest. Big difference of opinion on the spreads, as low as 11 to buy and as high as 16. I’d rather back a yellow at odds against than buy bookings at 11.

For tomorrow I'm just doing two of the handicaps, singles and the double.
Namibia +31 with Hills and Tonga +45 with Lads (double with Lads at +30 and +45).
I'd take Ireland -8 if you pushed me for a selection but it's too close to put money on. Gone for them to win by 1-10 points at 9/4 Betway which seems a reasonable pick and is sub 2/1 in most places.
Only other bet so far is a buy of Namibia's multi points at 29 with SPIN (up to 35 now but was 24 just prior to me deciding to make the bet earlier).

USA $2.30 v Tonga $1.55 Based on my viewing of Pacific Nations Cup and NZ v Tonga, USA v Canada a glitch, these odds should be reversed.
Going large on USA 10 of 10.
Seemingly the reason is that USA are on very short turn around, playing Argentina on the 9th October and then Tonga game on the 13th October.
If you like it get in now, as Tonga are about to go down to England by 40-60 points, maybe more, and odds will change.
Safer option of USA +3.5 @ $2 also available. Cheers 3P

Next week I'm just gonna take R1,000.00 quick picks on the lotto at the filling station.
Thank goodness the BOP Steamers got me out of jail, for a net loss of 37% on the weekend.
