All Football Tips w/c 21st October was created by mackem

A busy week of football starting with Sheff Utd v Arsenal in the EPL on Monday night. Champions League and Europa League from Tuesday to Thursday, locally we have the last of the Telkom Knockout ties and Absa Premiership throughout the week and EPL Week 10 at the weekend.

Sheffield United v Arsenal
Feeling a little flush this evening in anticipation of a few bob hitting my account when India clean up the last two SA wickets tomorrow so going to do the stupid thing and take two bets on the match. Stats tell us the highest scoring half - second - is the way to go. 9 of Arsenal's 13 have come in the second half and Sheffield have only scored one in the first half this season. Problem is the books know this hence the lousy odds of evens. Going with the longer offerings on

Sadly had my Hills Acc closed due to pressure from local books on the Government around 9 years ago. Great odds - best offer locally 49/20. Break a leg

Nothing obvious on the early matches (maybe Atletico to win to nil) so kicking off with a few beers on two acca's and see how the evening goes

Tottenham v Red Star

Just finished work and decided to meet a couple of mates in Spurs Lodge, Dublin, so i suppose I better have a bet. The under 21s have just won their version 9-2, so in theory, it should be a walk in the park. Spurs have been terrible for about a month but anything but a convincing win won't help. Nothing to back it up but they need to do the business

Australia FFA Cup Final

Adelaide vs Melbourne City

The match is played in Adelaide.
These teams played at the weekend in the league in Melbourne, City won 2-1.
In the recent past the matches between these two teams have not seen many goals.

It could end up in a draw after 90 minutes, but I prefer a low number of goals bet.
Melbourne have good attacking power in McLaren, who is hungry for trophies.
Adelaide are hard working in defence and play at home.

Since the Euro qualifiers my form has been diabolical and the idiotic Lyon keeper was just the icing on the cake last night taking out my punt with 3 minutes to go. I greatly admire those punters who take a complete sabbatical from punting but I have been in the game for so long it's no fun. Therefor we drop down to beer bets for longer odds which are not the kind of bets I expect to make but add interest to the watch. Won't be posting them on the boards as they probably serve no purpose(except perhaps the Saturday EPL acca). Plan to return after the November international break fully refreshed.
As I have wasted this space on the boards here's this evenings beers

Thanks South - Thought you were in there - checked the scores around mid 80 minutes and you looked invincible. Hated Charlton ever since they fired Curbishley for no reason at all - baskets.

Great shouts on the acca and RWC forecast Vann. Thought you said you were off form lol. Spurs looked a lot better in midweek, the transitions and passing resembled what the team were doing a few years ago. I don't think its a coincidence that this coincided with Poch dropping the " wantaways " and Harry " never pass forward " Winks. Just looked at the team and he's called them all back up. Could be a long afternoon.
