Bookies have wasted no time pricing up and we even have points lines (why can't they do this more often?)
England -4.5 v SA (WSB opened -3.5)
New Zealand -17.5 v Wales
Look forward to your thoughts

Just totting up my tournament stats, 86% strike rate at consistent 5 units per bet, per game. Owe that to some luck, but mostly watching the handicap show and the GFTG newsletter, insights from a wide range perspectives really helped making decisions, So thanks for that.
RE: this weekend
England look up for this mentally and physically and deserve to bring the cup home
New Zealand have a big point to prove so I expect a big win, -17 perhaps too big though
Early doors i'd say both teams on the minus with England being the more confident of the two.

Half-time: England 3 – SA 10.
Full-time: England 16 – SA 29.
SA by 13 (sorry Brent and Hanrick), makes the 1-12 and 13+ a bit difficult, but…
Loading up guys, putting my pension on this outcome.
England will never, ever (not even in their dreams), bully us around the park like they did the All Blacks.
Our boys are just too big (and strong) for them, and Rassie’s smarter than Eddie.
I feel sorry for Underhill and Curry, and Itoge, and Connor Murray, when they look up and see Dwayne, Siya, Eben, Lood, Bongi, and even the grinning Faf bearing down on them. They’re going to be limping after SA’s onslaught.
I feel sorry for Eddie having to watch his boys back-pedal like pre-schoolers next week.
And then of course there’s also the 12 year rule.
Wonder if the UK press will warn their kids to put their lights out because Beast and Bongi's coming
IMO: Wales might beat the ABs for 3rd place, just based on physicality.
Just sticking my neck out a wee bit here
So if you've got an axe, and you feel lucky, have a swing at it

Looking at the recent performance against a demoralised wales SA looked pedestrian, but yes I agree they will be up for a good close and brilliant final match against England.
Rather confused as to why Conor Murray is being mentioned in this piece?

Good Call Cats. Most probably from non-punters. Most of us know a final is a once-off and anything can happen. I suspect we are both old enough to remember Sunderland in 73 and Southampton in 76. Personally I think most finals should be 9/10 choice.

Yip, far too much excitement, or was it the thousand beers hard to tell sometimes late in the afternoon after a test match at the ChilliBar...
But yeah, Owen Farrell not Murray. Our guys won't forget his shoulder charge on Andre Esterhuizen last time. Let's see how well he can concentrate on captaining England and kicking with a bunch of 'big' boys hunting him down, intent on grinding his nose in the ground. Maybe those Vunipolas and Marler will be needed to protect him - boy, I do hope so
Rassie will surely have a good plan.
Good luck guys

Appreciate a RWC final is a world away from June internationals but when England were in SA last year Boks beat them in the 2 games that were open enough contests. The third test which England won was played in awful conditions, I got the soaking of my life before that game, it was horrible weather and I wouldn't read too much into that one.
However England looked awesome on Saturday and I reckon Eddie Jones will keep their feet on the ground. You see his post match interview with a few lines in Japanese? I took it as hearts and minds stuff to get the locals who had sided with AB's on England's side. A minor detail perhaps but shows he doesn't miss a trick so I don't expect any complacency from England.
Unless we see a change in Bok tactics it will be the minus for me so very interested in views on how you think Rassie will set the Boks up.
BG, please quiz the panel on Use It Or Lose It on Monday night if possible..... live from 21:00

Thoroughly enjoyed England beating NZ as I really didn't see that coming . I do feel it's a very close affair and made the handicap 2.5 points so any big Bok plus I'll def have a cover .

A joke. Really? It’s the most unfunny thing I’ve ever seen on here. This forum is there to appeal to all, including women. Seeing the c-word posted just so flippantly like that shows a real lack of understanding what offence it causes.
Suggest he sticks to betting picks and leave the jokes to actual comedians.

So many great threads on here in this tournament and for a decade and more since we launched the site and that sort of crap only deters good contributors from posters who have helped to make this forum what it is.
Please let this post of mine draw a line under it so as not to disrupt the thread for the remainder of the week as sure there will be lots of decent rugby betting related input to come in the run up to and over the weekend..
Cheers.

Edinburgh outright @ 15/20
Cheetahs +4.5
Premiership:
Bears outright at 8/10
Wasps outright at 15/20
Gloucester -3.5
WC:
England 1-12 @15/10/
Eng and under 40.5 @15/10
That should pay for the December festivities.

Tarka wrote: Found HUGE value. Richie Mounga at 5to1 top points scorer. He is 8 points behind Pollard, and i predict the All Blacks to win by 20 plus. The England vs Springboks game will be a low scoring/close game
Tarka just a cautionary note. "High scoring" doesn't always benefit the flyhalf. NZ could go for tries rather than penalties. And Mounga could also be subbed quite early to allow BB to shift to 10 and Ben to slot into his preferred fullback spot for the last time. Richie is also yet to score a try in the tournament so I wouldn't rely on any points other than off his boot
Whilst there might not be many points in the final but I reckon both Farrell and Pollie will get 6 points at the very least. Thus you have to be confident that the AB ten can score more than 14 points. Unless there is some hard evidence that Owen wont be handling the kicking duties I just dont see Mounga being able to surpass both and even if both struggle for points even the 12 point head start for Tamura could prove tough for RM.
Given that I took him pre tournament at 10/1 I will of course be shouting him home for a hat-trick but I fear that bet is doomed.

They're on a 5 day turnaround, have played 1 more game than the ABs, have multiple injuries, (& no specialist Tighthead on the bench), and have a backline put together because in Gatlands words “they were the last ones left standing”
And these stats:
Since 2016, Wales 45-55 v New Zealand in 1st half, 22-99 in 2nd half.
NZ -17 @ evens (placed Tuesday)
NZ 2nd half cap -9 @ 1.91 (placed yesterday)

now 6/10, hopefully good sign.
Small interest:
MoM BenSmith 16/1
Last score = unconverted home try @ 5/1 (hopefully NZ throw it to Read to try convert).

With regard the handicap I can't really make a solid case either way and feel the best form of action in that case will be to wait for in running , hope that NZ score a few early and get on a bigger plus in running .
Looking at the Oracle's fancy , Pollard ..I'm on the hunt for some 14/10 .
Enjoy the game
