All Racing Tips w/c 12th October

I wont use the word "confidence" lightly in this post as Sea Ways, which was backed like a good thing came race time, cost me my double play last week.

My early double for tomorrow, R3 Durbanville Black Silver x R2 Turffontein Gypsy King.

Gypsy King first race as a gelding with Kennedy on top to break the maiden.

Eagerly awaiting the input of Coil, Southpaw and KT with their selections.

For me for Turffontein I like the following:

Race 1 - Mauby @ 14/1
Was on him in his 1st run, and thought he had a more than decent run, was slow away losing 2 lengths but was doing some low flying at the end and if jumps on terms should there abouts. Also by Act of War who is one of my fav stallions. (See Nico of CTG also selected this one, Hopefully a good sign)

Race 2 - Hey Bennie @ 40/1
On first run never showed anything but has been gelded and coming back from long rest. Half brother to Grade 1 winner Ronnies Candy and if half as good worth a go at these odds. I have taken 4 places at Hollywood for 5/1.
Of the others I also like EN Gypsy King and was Impressed with Stageworld 1st run and think he will be the one to beat.
Will probably also take Trifecta with Midnight Caller boxed.

Race 4 - Foreign Field @ 14/1
Yes fav Forever Mine has been back into short odds fav, but first time stepping up and around the bend. I like FF, stable and Jock both in good form and was impressed by last 2 runs. Will wait for a punt to see how Gypsy King runs as this one finished ahead of GK. Might take Boxed Exacta.

Race 6 - Astral Plane @ 12/1
Another MDK fav who looks hard to beat, but AP won a good race 2 back, beating the more than decent Let there Be Light. Then followed up with a very good run behind Ululate who won 3 on the trot and just went down last time.

Race 7 - Visiway
At the weights looks hard to beat but to short for me to back with some good sorts from MDK and Tarry yards

Will have a look at Durbanville and post any thoughts

Race 1 - Taking Silk @ 8/1
Seen been backed in, extremely well bred and Stable said last time follow him. has a lot to find on favorite, but with improvement and drawn 2 compared to 10 of 13.

Race 2 - Grand Vision @ 10/1
Held by the fav, but got baulked twice up the straight and had to get going again each time, would have finished a lot closer.

Race 3 - EN Black silver looks hard to oppose.

Race 4 - Grand Princess @ 8/1
No form but like the breeding and stable comments were promising

Interesting race this , Spanish Boy been disappointing but could improve , Battle of Trafalgar my first choice 11/2.

Race 8.

Break the Silence 5/1.

Race 9.

Greens very hard to beat , top weight makes it harder but 16/10 or better I'm lumping on.

Bold Diva has a great chance here , decent sort and very low weight , 11/2.

Race 7.

Midnight Badger , old fiance ... 8/1.

Open race , Alfreds Girl 16/1 and 7/2 a place .

Race 1 - Love to View @ 16/1
First runner for stable and father and son. More a hopeful for them.

Race 2 - Trillionaire @ 20/1
Well bred and dam won first time out. with Appie claim could be close

Race 3 - Captian Ariano @ 20/1
Last time course and distance ran close to 2nd fav Winter Whistle and now gets better draw and Muzi up. Snaith fav looks hard to beat if can overcome wide draw, based on strong Cape Form.

Race 7 - Sworder Street @ 7/2
If repeat last 2 runs should be there, especially if can repeat run behind Derby winner.
My outsider here is American Indian @ 25/2

Race 9 - Brazil Nut @ 6/1
Some really good PE form and could win if repeats any of that form.

These are all weighted to places, especially in 1st 3 as there is some short priced fav's with good form.

R7 Silver Rose 12/1 ew. Been following this one on and off for a while, down in class here and I think he can feature here. Strong course distance form.

Race 2.

Cathay Pacifica not drawn well but has a very good from line , drifting badly but 13/1 and places looks ok.

Race 3.

Irish Belle is improving nicely and is my first choice 33/10.

Race 4.

Guitar King heavily fancied and loads of respect , Narrow first selection Lord of the Manor 9/2 and Grey Lingari will prefer this distance at 8/1.

Race 5.

Had hoped Share Holder would be 2/1 or better , a horse I've kept my eye on but at current odds at 15/10 only a small interest unless getting better.

Race 6.

Open race looking past Maria Corolina at 2/1 , otherwise field in the exotics for me .

Race 7.

Ploughing into KT's Sworder Street , currently 28/10 and is a confident choice if travelling ok.

Race 8.

American Hustle could enjoy the track and at 8/1 will be going eachway, also has a decent claimer up.

Race 9.

Apache Too is my big roughie, weighted heavily on the places , 25/1 a win and 5/1 a place/ first 4.

Race 10.

Another roughie in the form of Instinctive Power , stable popping up quite regulary and currently 8/1 and 11/10 a place first 4.

4 runs ago ran 1.5l behind Pretty Young Thing at level weights almost, beating some more than decent sprinters. Yes drawn wide and out at the weights according to MR, but worth a go for me.
